Meyer Sound Powers Massive Multi-Stage Experience at Sandbox Festival

EGYPT: Large-scale music festivals place extraordinary demands on audio systems, requiring consistent performance across multiple stages, diverse musical genres and tens of thousands of audience interactions over extended periods of operation. At this year’s Sandbox Festival, those demands were met through an extensive Meyer Sound deployment delivered by production specialist Center Stage, with the company’s latest PANTHER and 2100-LFC systems playing a central role in the festival’s audio infrastructure.

Spanning nine simultaneously operating stages, 72 continuous hours of production and performances from more than 72 artists, Sandbox Festival represented one of the region’s most ambitious live music events. Ensuring consistent audio quality across such a complex environment required a combination of large-format reinforcement systems, versatile point-source loudspeakers and high-performance monitoring solutions capable of supporting a wide range of performance styles and venue configurations.

At the heart of the deployment was Meyer Sound’s flagship PANTHER line array system, paired with 2100-LFC low-frequency control elements. The combination delivered powerful, controlled coverage across key performance areas, providing the impact and consistency required for large-scale festival audiences while maintaining the clarity and precision expected from modern concert sound systems.

Additional stages throughout the festival were supported by Meyer Sound LEOPARD line array systems, helping maintain a consistent sonic experience across the event’s diverse programme of performances. Low-frequency reinforcement was further enhanced through the deployment of 1100-LFC low-frequency control elements, delivering the energy and extension required for contemporary music genres while maintaining controlled low-frequency performance.

The wider Meyer Sound ecosystem was also heavily represented throughout the festival site. ULTRA-X80 and ULTRA-X42 point-source loudspeakers were utilised across various applications requiring flexible coverage and high-output performance, while MJF-210 stage monitors provided performers with reliable and accurate monitoring on stage.

Together, the systems helped deliver consistent coverage, intelligibility and energy across all nine stages, supporting both audience engagement and artist performance throughout the festival’s demanding 72-hour schedule.

The deployment also highlighted the continued collaboration between Center Stage and Modern Touch, Meyer Sound’s distribution partner in Egypt, which has been instrumental in expanding access to the manufacturer’s latest technologies within the market.

Magued Makram, Managing Partner of Modern Touch, added: “We are proud to see Center Stage putting Meyer Sound’s newest PANTHER and 2100-LFC system to work at this scale. Our role is to make world-class sound technology available to leading production companies in Egypt, and Center Stage delivered an outstanding result at Sandbox Festival.”

With nine stages operating concurrently, more than 72 artists performing and audiences experiencing continuous music over three days, Sandbox Festival served as a showcase for the scalability and versatility of Meyer Sound’s product portfolio. From flagship PANTHER line arrays and 2100-LFC low-frequency control elements to LEOPARD systems, ULTRA-X loudspeakers and MJF stage monitors, the deployment demonstrated how integrated audio solutions can support the demands of large-scale festival production while delivering a consistent experience from stage to crowd.
