CHINA: The Chengdu Soda Music Carnival brought live music, lighting and high-energy performances to the Chengdu International Intangible Cultural Heritage Park, with Beijing Jiuhong Technology Co., Ltd deploying a Meyer Sound system designed to maintain consistent coverage, tonal balance and low-frequency control across the outdoor festival site.

Built around an extended T-shaped stage, the system combined long-throw main arrays, multiple layers of fills, delay towers, and flown and ground-stacked subwoofers; deliberately designed to account for the vast audience section that was spread across the massive length and expansive breadth of the Heritage Park festival venue.

Team Beijing Jiuhong Technology chose Meyer Sound’s PANTHER line arrays to form the main system, with a total of 28 line-array modules deployed in L-R configuration for long-throw coverage, while an additional 24 PANTHER modules (deployed across 4 outrigger arrays of 6 modules each) extended coverage towards the side audience areas.

Meanwhile, along the extended stage, Meyer Sound’s LEOPARD line arrays provided front fill to improve timing, level consistency and clarity for audiences positioned closest to the stage. Chest-thumping impact came from 2100-LFC subwoofers, which delivered controlled low-frequency fidelity and raw power across the venue.

The audio team deployed a total of five units of the GALAXY 816 processors to manage end-to-end signal distribution and system processing, with one positioned at FOH and four deployed around the stage. An AVB digital network provided low-latency signal distribution and precise synchronisation across the system.

According to the team, careful system design, precise positioning and meticulous alignment enabled the Meyer Sound deployment to deliver consistent, powerful sound across the festival site, keeping performances clear and impactful from the stage through to the farthest audience areas.
