INFiLED Augments Dubai Mall’s 50-Screen Digital Network Install Knowledge Hub Latest News by Elton - September 29, 2026September 26, 2026 DUBAI: INFiLED has worked with Emaar and long-term partner Blue Rhine Industries to create a scalable digital advertising network spanning almost 50 locations across Dubai Mall, using customised MVmk2 Series LED panels to address the varying architectural and environmental conditions throughout the complex. The project, completed in July 2026, required a network capable of operating across a mall environment encompassing grand atriums, open walkways, skylights and glass façades, with significant differences in natural light, viewing distances, mounting infrastructure and available access from one location to another. Rather than deploying a uniform screen configuration, INFiLED carried out detailed engineering studies covering installation height and available space, screen dimensions and orientation, viewing distances and angles, pedestrian flow, ambient lighting, integration with existing architecture, structural requirements and future maintenance access. The resulting network uses custom-built MVmk2 Series panels, with the 3.9mm pixel pitch selected to balance image detail with viewing distance. The panels deliver up to 4,500 nits of brightness and a 3,840Hz refresh rate, while high contrast and colour uniformity support consistent imagery across the different LED surfaces. The MVmk2 cabinets use lightweight aluminium construction to accommodate varied structural conditions, with front and rear maintenance access and a claimed 10-second module swap time intended to minimise downtime. IP65 protection is used for the outdoor elements of the network, while the series is designed for continuous 24/7 operation with reduced thermal load. For Emaar, the installation creates a digital advertising platform spanning almost 50 LED screens across one of Dubai’s most complex retail environments, providing a scalable network for commercial content while allowing individual displays to be adapted to their locations. The project also demonstrates the growing role of LED engineering beyond the screen itself, with structural integration, viewing conditions, maintenance access, brightness and operating costs all forming part of the network design rather than being treated as separate considerations.
