INDIA: Amplitude Audio has appointed MZ Audio Distributions as its distribution partner in India, expanding the French audio manufacturer’s reach in a market it identifies as strategically important. The agreement will make Amplitude Audio’s multiroom and multizone audio solutions available to integrators across the country through MZ Audio’s distribution network.

Founded in France, Amplitude Audio specialises in professional multiroom audio systems for commercial environments, including hotels, restaurants, bars, retail spaces and leisure venues. Its portfolio includes amplifiers, loudspeakers, controllers and associated technologies designed to simplify installation while providing independent audio management across multiple zones. The company’s systems incorporate Dante/AES67 audio networking and proprietary Power Line Communication (PLC) technology, enabling audio distribution over Ethernet or existing electrical wiring, depending on the system configuration.

MZ Audio Distributions, meanwhile, began as a distributor of luxury audio-video brands and has since focused on connecting Indian resellers and integrators with international AV manufacturers. The company is based in Mumbai and serves as a local distribution channel for brands targeting India’s residential and commercial AV markets.

A key element of Amplitude Audio’s offering is its integrated approach to multiroom installations, combining speakers and amplifiers designed to work together. Its Multizone Wall Controller allows users to select audio sources and adjust volume independently across different zones without requiring a dedicated control application or specialised training. The manufacturer positions this as a way to simplify day-to-day operation for end users while giving integrators a coordinated system for multi-zone projects.

Amplitude Audio said its first units have already been installed in India, with the new agreement intended to support further growth through closer engagement with local integrators. The company also acknowledged MZ Audio Distributions for their trust and commitment in establishing the partnership. The appointment provides Amplitude Audio with a local distribution partner as it seeks to develop its presence across the Indian market. For MZ Audio, the addition broadens its portfolio with a system-based approach to multiroom sound, combining amplification, loudspeakers and zone control.
