GLOBAL: Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) has expanded its free Resolution Software Online Training Course, extending its self-paced programme for sound system designers, production companies and integrators to cover product control and system deployment alongside acoustic modelling and design workflows.

The course is structured around the relationship between system design and real-world performance, helping participants develop skills in modelling, loudspeaker selection, coverage planning and system optimisation using EAW’s Resolution platform. The original programme introduced users to Resolution’s interface, tools and workflows, followed by a live session demonstrating how to build an acoustic model from the ground up. This modelling process helps designers assess system performance and refine configurations before deployment.

The expanded training adds instruction on connecting to and controlling supported EAW products directly within the software. This brings system operation into the design workflow, demonstrating how Resolution can be used with EAW loudspeaker systems for tuning, optimisation and system management. A series of lectures also examines system design principles across several of EAW’s current product lines. Topics include loudspeaker selection, coverage planning and specification, with an emphasis on making informed technical decisions to achieve the intended results in different applications. The programme is divided into two parts, each concluding with an evaluation that allows participants to assess their progress and confirm their understanding before advancing.
