Sennheiser Supports Hands-On RF Training in Dubai

DUBAI: Sennheiser has provided professional wireless audio equipment and technical expertise for a training programme delivered by Skill Tech Audio Engineering Institute in Dubai, giving students hands-on experience in RF coordination and wireless microphone systems.

Ryan Burr, Technical Application Engineer EMEA at Sennheiser Middle East, commented, “Understanding RF coordination and management is an important skill for anyone working with wireless audio.”

Held during September and October 2026 at Dr Head’s training centre, the programme was led by Skill Tech graduate and systems engineer Matthew Blankenburgh, wherein students worked with wireless microphone systems across handheld, headset, lavalier and gooseneck applications, gaining practical experience in RF setup, coordination and operation.

The training incorporated Sennheiser’s EW-DX system, with students learning how to scan and coordinate frequencies, position antennas and route audio over Dante. The hands-on approach was designed to give participants direct experience of the processes involved in deploying and managing wireless systems in professional audio environments.

“It’s exactly what they’ll face on real gigs. Live sound operators, freshers, stage techs and A2s all need solid RF management, and you only learn it by doing it” said a spokesperson from Skill Techn Audio.
