Scene Change Lights Up Adelaide’s Pepsi Collective Experience

AUSTRALIA: Scene Change and Twenty3 combined forces during Gather Round at Adelaide Oval to deliver The Pepsi Collective, a premium hospitality experience hosted within the William Magarey Room, featuring live entertainment, DJs and curated food and beverage experiences.

The event also marked the debut of Scene Change’s newly acquired Ayrton Stradale Profile fixtures from Show Technology Australia & New Zealand, which formed part of a lighting package that included Martin MAC One, Prolights Astra Wash19Pix and Prolights Arena Cob luminaires, all controlled via an MA Lighting MA3 Compact XT console and Luminex LumiNodes.

For Scene Change, the high-profile event provided an ideal platform to introduce the Stradale Profiles into active service. According to Managing Director Nick Waterman, the decision to invest in the fixtures was heavily influenced by the company’s technical team. “Our technicians ultimately drove this decision,” said Waterman. “I had initially considered a different fixture, but we trusted the team’s preference for the Stradale’s compact size and strong output. Its IP rating was an added advantage for outdoor events, particularly at Adelaide Oval.”

The Ayrton Stradale Profile combines a compact form factor with a versatile optical system capable of delivering beam angles from 4° through to 52°. The fixture also incorporates continuous pan and tilt rotation, expanding creative possibilities for designers working across live events and entertainment applications. “Our technicians are thrilled to have framing shutters in such a compact fixture,” Nick said. “The fast 15-blade iris, animation disks and dual rotating prisms for aerial effects will all see plenty of use.”

Supporting the visual design were 18 Martin MAC One fixtures from Scene Change Adelaide’s inventory of 36 units. The compact luminaires were deployed to create eye-candy effects and narrow beam looks throughout the space. Additional beam and wash effects were provided by Prolights Astra Wash19Pix fixtures positioned on either side of the LED screens, with Waterman noting that the fixtures have become dependable workhorses within the company’s inventory.

Further visual impact came from 16 Prolights Arena Cob fixtures, which were added to Scene Change Adelaide’s stock approximately eight months ago. Selected to complement the company’s existing Prolights inventory, the RGBW blinders feature an interlocking design that provides additional deployment flexibility across a variety of event formats.

The deployment showcased a carefully curated lighting package that combined compact, high-output fixtures with versatile effects capabilities, helping create an engaging visual environment for one of Gather Round’s premium hospitality activations.
