MA Lighting International has released grandMA3 software version 2.4.2.2, introducing a broad range of new features and workflow refinements aimed at enhancing programming flexibility, show preparation and system management across live event, broadcast and entertainment lighting applications.

Among the most significant additions is the introduction of Phaser Recipes, designed to expand phaser-based programming workflows and provide greater control over dynamic show elements. The new functionality is intended to streamline complex effect creation while offering programmers additional flexibility when developing evolving lighting looks and sequences.

The update also brings substantial improvements to preset management. With version 2.4, presets can now be used across all fixture types regardless of origin, while MAgic presets can additionally function as universal presets, simplifying programming workflows and increasing reusability across larger show files.

Another major addition is the new Preview functionality, which enables programmers to review cues and sequences in advance without affecting live output. The feature allows scenes to be examined, updated and adjusted offline while maintaining uninterrupted operation of active show content, providing greater confidence during programming and show preparation.

Connectivity has also been enhanced through the introduction of Phone Tethering support. This capability allows users to access online fixture libraries directly through a mobile data connection, ensuring fixture profiles can be downloaded and updated even when dedicated network infrastructure is unavailable on site.

MA Lighting has further refined its MVR workflow with improvements to file import functionality. In version 2.4, MVR imports are now managed through the Partial Show Read window, allowing users to select specific elements from an MVR file while benefiting from a more consistent and flexible import process.

Alongside the grandMA3 software release, MA Lighting has also made available grandMA2 software version 3.9.63.6, which includes updates for MA VPU, grandMA2 3D and MA Network Switch software.

With version 2.4, MA Lighting continues to expand the capabilities of the grandMA3 platform, delivering enhancements focused on programming efficiency, content management and workflow flexibility for lighting professionals working across increasingly sophisticated production environments.
