CHINA: Naostage’s beaconless, AI-powered tracking and show control solution, K SYSTEM, has made its mark in Asia, with a series of successful deployments across China that showcased its ability to automate audio, lighting and visual effects for live entertainment and corporate events.

Following an impressive showing at Prolight + Sound Guangzhou, where EZpro International – Naostage’s distributor for mainland China – unveiled K SYSTEM to an APAC trade audience for the first time, the technology quickly went on to power several high-profile productions. Designed to deliver real-time tracking without beacons or location tags, K SYSTEM demonstrated its versatility by driving spatial audio localisation, automatic light tracking, and interactive projection-mapped visuals.

One of its most notable appearances came on World Earth Day 2025, when headphone brand Cleer launched two new wireless earbud series during a special event conceived and broadcast by China Central Television (CCTV). Hosted at the Shenzhen International Low-Carbon Hall Exhibition Hall, EZpro and CCTV deployed a single K SYSTEM rig for continuous 3D performer tracking, feeding data to an Astro Spatial Audio immersive system. As presenters and performers moved across the stage, K SYSTEM’s beaconless tracking allowed sound objects to follow them naturally and in real time, anchoring voices and effects precisely to their on-stage positions. Without the need for wearables, markers or additional sound crew, the result was an impressively coherent sonic and visual experience that perfectly matched Cleer’s event theme, “Put on Cleer AI and Hear a New World.”

The system’s momentum continued with the stage production Reborn Beats at Shenzhen’s Poly Theatre, where K SYSTEM enabled automatic lighting fixture tracking for performers, followed by a captivating showcase at the tenth Think Youth fashion competition at the Shanghai Vocational College of Film Art in July. Here, K SYSTEM’s PosiStageNet (PSN) capabilities streamed precise positional data to a hardware media server, allowing the college’s AV team to projection map animated textures and graphic motifs onto moving models dressed in white. The result was a seamless illusion of light and shadow that transformed each model into a dynamic, living canvas — a feat that would have been near impossible to cue manually.

Both the Shenzhen and Shanghai projects tested K SYSTEM under challenging conditions, requiring it to track multiple moving targets in large, light-filled spaces — environments traditionally difficult for legacy tracking systems.
