Prolight + Sound Bangkok 2026 Reports Strong Sales Momentum Ahead of Inaugural Edition

THAILAND: Reports coming in from Prolight + Sound Bangkok (PLSB) indicate that strong early demand and robust sales are setting the stage for a historic first edition of the industry event, with approximately 90% of exhibition space already booked.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and VNU Asia Pacific, and taking place from 30 September – 2 October 2026 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre, the show will serve as a new confluence for the global and regional pro AV, music, and entertainment technology communities. By uniting international brands and key Southeast Asian industry players, the fair aims to accelerate market entry, partnerships, and the adoption of cutting-edge solutions across the region’s expanding entertainment, events, MICE, and tourism sectors. Complementing the exhibition, a robust fringe programme of product demonstrations and seminars will offer practical insights aligned with the evolving industry landscape.

Strong sales momentum is further bolstered by broad cross-border interest, highlighting PLSB’s global appeal ahead of its launch. The fair is projected to host over 150 international exhibitors and welcome more than 5,000 trade visitors from around the world, reinforcing its position as a new industry nexus. To date, companies from eleven countries and regions – China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand, and the United Kingdom – have confirmed their attendances. The growing exhibitor lineup includes a diverse mix of established brands such as ACME, Altimate, Big Dipper, Botai, CJS, DJ Power, ETC, Faital Pro, Giant Truss, Gis AG, Golden Duck, HK Audio, ICE Prosound, IMAGE AV, Mission T, MARANI, Neutrik, N-Labs, PENN ELCOM, Pharos Architectural Controls, Reyn Audio, Roxtone, Silver Star, Sixty82 Doughty Asia, Tycoon, VL Audio, and Yoda, among others.

A dedicated Singapore Pavilion, organised by the Pro Audiovisual & Lighting Integration Association of Singapore (AVLIAS), adds further depth to the exhibitor roster by featuring leading pro AV, lighting, and entertainment technology companies such as Acoustic & Lighting System, EP-Tec Solutions, MA Lighting, New Wave Display, Robe Lighting, Total Solution Marketing, and Unearthed Productions, underscoring Singapore’s strong engagement with and investment in the regional market.

Yanqiang Yang, Sales Director of Greater China at ACME Co Ltd, shared, “ACME will exhibit at the inaugural Prolight + Sound Bangkok to strengthen our Southeast Asian foothold. With growing demand for professional lighting in Thailand’s live rental and cultural tourism sectors, this premier event serves as a strategic gateway to the Indochina market.” Emphasising the value of direct engagement, he added: “We aim to connect directly with regional distributors and end-users, showcasing our latest products for hands-on evaluation. This engagement will solidify existing partnerships and unlock new channels, significantly enhancing ACME’s brand visibility and commercial expansion across the region.”

Christian Jordan, Chief Sales Officer at HK Audio, also noted, “We are pleased to be among the founding exhibitors at the first Prolight + Sound Bangkok. As Southeast Asia continues to experience strong growth in the fields of professional audio, live events, and entertainment technology, this trade show offers HK Audio a strategic platform to strengthen our regional presence.” Looking ahead, he expressed confidence in the fair’s long-term potential: “We are confident that Prolight + Sound Bangkok will develop into a key business hub for the industry, and we look forward to solidifying our position in this sector alongside this exciting new platform.”

The organisers affirm that Prolight + Sound Bangkok is designed as a platform for meaningful exchange – bringing together global expertise and regional demand to drive both knowledge transfer and business growth. At its core, the show delivers a twofold value: enabling international manufacturers and industry experts to introduce the latest products, technologies, trends, and standards for adoption throughout Southeast Asia, while simultaneously establishing pathways for partnerships that support market entry and expansion across the region. By connecting overseas innovators with local decision-makers, the platform facilitates collaboration, distribution opportunities, and long-term business relationships within the fast-evolving ASEAN entertainment and pro AV landscape.

To facilitate this objective, the show is set to organise a diverse fringe programme with comprehensive product demonstrations and seminars spanning professional audio, lighting, pro AV systems, and music-related technologies. One of the key on-floor highlights includes a Drum Circle & Music Therapy Experience Workshop, delivered in partnership with IQ PLUS Music, Tycoon, and Serenity Sound.

Complementing this, insightful seminars covering a wide range of pertinent topics will be hosted by leading industry voices. Notable sessions include discussions about the future of concerts, festivals, AI, and immersive experiences delivered by Thailand’s leading entertainment visionaries; smart AV integration for hotels, convention centres, and corporate spaces organised by the Thailand Professional Lighting & Audio Visual Systems Association (TLAV); an intensive three‑day masterclass by the Thailand Professional Qualification Institute (TPQI) that will cover sound engineering, acoustic design, and live production; and the Future of the ASEAN Pro AVL, led by AVLIAS, which explores upcoming regional business opportunities and cross‑border collaboration.

Prolight + Sound Bangkok is also actively contributing to the development of Thailand’s upcoming industry talent through the Thailand’s Entertainment Industry: The Critical Role of Universities in Shaping Future Talent. The forum offers students and young professionals across six Thai universities direct access to mentors, career pathways, and hands-on workshops designed to bridge the gap between academia and the pro AV sector.
