DUO Gastrobar Dubai Elevates Fine Dining with a Michelin Star Menu and a Martin Audio Soundscape

In the heart of Dubai Hills’ upscale Business Park, DUO Gastrobar has emerged as a compelling blend of culinary mastery and audio sophistication. Brought to life by the acclaimed Duoband Restaurant Group from St. Petersburg — helmed by Renat Malikov and Dmitry Blinov — the venue has quickly earned prestige for its fine European cuisine laced with Asian flair, complemented by an audio experience powered by Martin Audio’s popular CDD series.

Tasked with designing the sonic backbone of the venue, regional distributors PRO LAB LLC collaborated closely with project consultants LXA, whose longstanding rapport with the Martin Audio brand made them the natural choice for this refined project. According to PRO LAB General Manager Jan Tarakji, “The owners had specifically asked LXA to identify who was supplying Martin Audio in the region because they knew it was the standard for premium venues.”

Designed by LXA’s Senior Project Manager Riaan Koch, the main dining and bar areas feature five Martin Audio CDD5W loudspeakers in a clean white finish, blending seamlessly into DUO’s modern, minimalist aesthetic. To add sonic weight and ensure enough headroom for a more dynamic audio experience, two SX110 subwoofers were discreetly flown using eyebolts, one above the bar and the other at the opposite end of the room, preserving valuable floor space without compromising impact.

“There’s a quiet confidence in knowing this system can switch from subtle background textures during lunch to a more immersive, driven vibe in the evenings,” said Tarakji. “Small and punchy — that’s the CDD series.”

For patrons enjoying the separate covered terrace, a different atmosphere is supported by a dedicated system of five more CDD5W speakers, ensuring a consistently premium listening experience across all areas of the venue.

DUO’s curated musical ambience is managed through an LD Systems RSMP universal media player, with a DSP/router offering streamlined touch-panel control — allowing staff to adjust the mood at a moment’s notice.
