PROLIGHTS Illuminates Qatar’s Pathway to Peace with Flexible Museum Lighting

QATAR: The Pathway to Peace Museum at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel has brought a PROLIGHTS lighting system into its immersive exhibition environment, using flexible LED track lighting to support a visitor journey centred on mediation and peacebuilding. Promoted by the International Media Office (IMO) of the State of Qatar, the installation was supplied by SeeSound and installed by Proasur.

Designed to merge audiovisual, scenographic and lighting elements into a unified storytelling experience, the museum uses light as an active component of its exhibition narrative. Rather than serving purely as functional illumination, the lighting helps shape individual scenes, direct attention and reinforce the atmosphere of each stage of the visitor journey.

Flexibility was therefore a key consideration in the system design. The installation needed to accommodate changing scenes and content without requiring structural modifications, while providing the operational agility necessary for an environment where exhibition elements and thematic paths can evolve over time. An electrified track system provides the foundation for this approach, allowing fixtures to be repositioned and the lighting configuration adapted as required.

A total of 32 PROLIGHTS EclDisplay DATWhite LED track spotlights were installed. Designed for museums, galleries and cultural venues, the fixtures combine high-performance LED technology with precise beam control and optimised colour rendering, enabling the lighting to be finely adjusted across exhibits, surfaces and display elements.

The EclDisplay DATWhite fixtures also support DMX and DALI professional control systems, alongside RDM configuration, allowing the museum team to manage lighting scenes and tailor illumination to the requirements of individual areas within the exhibition.

By combining adaptable track-mounted lighting with precise control and colour performance, the installation allows the lighting environment to evolve alongside the museum’s narrative while maintaining a cohesive visual experience throughout the exhibition.

The Pathway to Peace project adds to PROLIGHTS’ presence in cultural and experiential environments, demonstrating how flexible lighting infrastructure can become an integral part of immersive exhibition design.
