CYPRUS: RCF loudspeaker solutions have been selected to provide background music and ambient audio coverage throughout NYX Hotel Limassol, a contemporary lifestyle hospitality destination located in the historic centre of Limassol, Cyprus.

Supplied and delivered by Megasound, RCF’s official distributor in Cyprus, the installation has been designed to complement the hotel’s design-led concept, where architecture, art, music and social experiences are closely interwoven throughout the guest journey.

Part of the NYX Hotels brand by Leonardo Hotels & Resorts Mediterranean, NYX Hotel Limassol features 189 rooms and suites alongside restaurants, bars, wellness facilities, a rooftop pool, gym and a variety of leisure and social spaces. Within this environment, the audio system was required to deliver consistent musical coverage across diverse hospitality zones while remaining visually discreet within the venue’s carefully curated interiors.

The deployment incorporates 46 units of the RCF PL 8X and 22 units of the PL 6X coaxial ceiling loudspeakers, 18 units of the WMR 60T and three WMR 50T wall-mounted loudspeakers, eight P 3108 weatherproof two-way loudspeakers, five S 12 subwoofers, one S 10 subwoofer and one AYRA TEN SUB active professional subwoofer.

Across the hotel’s interior spaces, the PL 8X and PL 6X ceiling loudspeakers provide distributed audio coverage while maintaining a minimal visual footprint. Their coaxial design supports consistent sound dispersion throughout public areas, allowing the audio system to blend seamlessly with lighting, architectural finishes and interior detailing.

Additional reinforcement is provided by WMR 60T and WMR 50T wall-mounted loudspeakers in areas where room layouts require more directional coverage. Their compact form factor enables the system to maintain tonal consistency and intelligibility throughout lounges, circulation areas and social spaces without drawing attention to the loudspeakers themselves.

The audio experience extends beyond the building interior through the deployment of P 3108 weatherproof loudspeakers across outdoor and semi-outdoor hospitality areas. Designed for professional operation in challenging environmental conditions, the loudspeakers ensure continuity of sound across terraces, exterior-facing zones and open-air guest spaces.

Low-frequency support throughout the property is delivered by a combination of S 12 and S 10 subwoofers alongside an AYRA TEN SUB active subwoofer, providing additional depth and balance where programme material and venue requirements demand enhanced bass performance.
