Sound Creations Unveils ‘Immersive Lab’ in Tashkent Knowledge Hub Latest News by Elton - April 10, 2026April 10, 2026 UZBEKISTAN: Sound Creations has strengthened its position as a regional enabler of advanced audiovisual innovation with the launch of Immersive Lab, a purpose-built creative technology facility at its Tashkent headquarters. Spanning 500 square metres, the new space is conceived as a hands-on environment for AV professionals — ranging from system integrators and consultants to theatre technicians, museum specialists, and rental companies — offering a platform to explore, test, and refine complex multimedia solutions in real-world conditions. Designed as an active working lab rather than a static demonstration space, Immersive Lab enables experimentation, solution modelling, and full-scale validation of immersive concepts across spatial audio, projection mapping, and stage lighting. The facility integrates these disciplines into a unified AV ecosystem, allowing users to simulate and evaluate intricate scenarios spanning cultural, entertainment, and commercial applications before deployment. At the heart of the installation is the L-Acoustics L-ISA Immersive Sound System, built around L-ISA Processor II, LA7.16i amplified controllers, LA4X, LS10 network infrastructure, P1 processors, and LC16D. The loudspeaker configuration features a frontal array of Syva with Syva Low, complemented by KS21 subwoofers, while X8 coaxial loudspeakers form the surround layer and X8i systems are integrated into the ceiling. This architecture enables precise spatial positioning of sound sources, as well as detailed control over depth, movement, and localisation—forming the basis for highly nuanced immersive audio environments. “At Immersive Lab, we demonstrate how L-ISA spatial audio can be applied in theatres, multimedia venues, concert halls, and immersive environments, where sound becomes part of the overall spatial dramaturgy and enhances audience engagement,” said Danila Khavtorin, Sales Manager for L-Acoustics and DiGiCo at Sound Creations. Pavel Aheunin, Territory Manager at L-Acoustics, added, “The development of this space involved close collaboration at every stage — from design to installation and calibration — to ensure full compliance with L-ISA standards. The result exceeded expectations. The facility enables not only demonstrations but also the full range of official L-Acoustics training programs, supporting the growth of the regional audio industry.” Further expansion is already planned, including the integration of L-ISA Ambiance for acoustic environment control and L-Acoustics DJ, enabling real-time transformation of stereo content into object-based immersive audio. Complementing the audio infrastructure is a comprehensive lighting system that spans the full spectrum of modern stage lighting tools, including moving heads, profile fixtures, wash/beam fixtures, LED solutions, and ETC Eos control systems. This setup allows for the creation of complete lighting dramaturgy, seamlessly integrated with audio and visual workflows. “Immersive Lab sets a new standard for experiencing light as an environment that engages and inspires. It provides a unique opportunity to explore lighting technologies not only through demonstrations, but through hands-on interaction and training,” said Kseniia Igoshkina, Regional Sales Manager at Ayrton. To further democratise access to lighting control, Mark Stavtsev, Sales Manager at Sound Creations for Ayrton, ETC, and Robert Juliat, developed an interactive touch-based interface known as Magic Carpet, allowing users to experiment with lighting parameters without requiring prior console programming expertise. “Our goal was to remove the barrier between technology and the user. Even without prior experience, users can immediately understand how light behaves in space and influences perception. This fundamentally changes the decision-making process — from theory to real experience,” Stavtsev explained. The visual layer of Immersive Lab is driven by 11 Barco I600 4K15 projectors, forming a seamless projection environment for mapping, architectural visualisation, and immersive content delivery. The system supports precise geometry correction, edge blending, and surface adaptation, fully synchronised with the spatial audio platform. A 360° immersive audiovisual experience, developed in collaboration with Artnovi (UAE), showcases the integration of Barco projection technology with L-ISA spatial audio, demonstrating how unified AV systems can elevate storytelling and audience engagement. “It’s inspiring to see such a forward-thinking immersive space come to life. Our projection technology is at the core of this experience, making it possible to deliver powerful visuals and truly immersive storytelling. This lab is also a unique milestone for the region, as there is no comparable immersive space in Uzbekistan or across Central Asia. We’re proud to play a central role in bringing this vision to reality,” said Nehir Özdemir, Territory Manager at Barco. With the launch of Immersive Lab, Sound Creations positions Tashkent as an emerging hub for professional AV development across Central Asia and the Caucasus, offering local access to international technologies, real-world workflows, and hands-on training. By enabling professionals to experience, test, and validate solutions in a controlled yet fully functional environment, the facility represents a significant step forward in bridging the gap between concept and execution in immersive AV design.
