THAILAND: Thai rapper and singer Youngohm marked the debut of his new album Fai Glang Khuen with a listening party that delivered a notable milestone for Thailand’s pro audio scene — the country’s first full Adamson CS-Series line array deployment. Supplied by distributor Sonos Libra, the system formed the core of a wider setup that also included DirectOut Maven.A platform, an Allen & Heath dLive DM48 mix rack and C1500 surface, and DK7 Gen 2 microphone kit from Earthworks Audio.

The event unfolded across two distinct zones, each configured with a dedicated solution to suit its programme. The outdoor zone, serving as the main listening area for the album showcase and an opening jazz performance, featured an Adamson CS7 and CS118 line array system, reinforced by ground-stacked CS119 subwoofers for extended low-frequency power. MG10 monitors supported the live jazz set, delivering precise on-stage clarity. Indoors, the DJ after-party required a punchier club-like environment, where Sonos Libra deployed CS10p point source loudspeakers partnered with CS118 and CS119 subwoofers to achieve tight, controlled low end tuned for DJ-driven energy.

System control across both spaces was managed via the Allen & Heath dLive DM48 mix rack and C1500 Surface, with additional flexibility provided through iPad operation. According to Sonos Libra, one of the event’s highlights was the complete playback of Fai Glang Khuen, handled through DirectOut’s Maven.A platform to ensure studio-grade fidelity and the redundancy required for uninterrupted performance. For the live jazz elements, the drums were captured using the Earthworks Audio DK7 Gen 2 microphone kit, chosen for its natural transients and clarity.

Reflecting on the deployment, Sonos Libra’s sound engineer commented: “This was my first time flying the CS Series Line Array. I had never learned the full rigging process before, yet I was able to set it up without difficulty. On top of that, Adamson’s ArrayIntelligence software is truly impressive; it gives us a tremendous amount of flexibility to optimise the system.”
