DUBAI: Lang Middle East has delivered a fully booked, two-day Disguise video systems training programme at its Dubai training facility, bringing together professionals from the rental, live events and systems integration sectors for hands-on instruction in the platform’s workflow and applications.

Led by Yuri Stranyov, Multimedia Engineer and Disguise Certified Trainer, the programme covered the core Disguise Designer software, taking attendees from initial setup through to the preparation and delivery of a finished project. Alexandra Coulson, Disguise’s Vice President of Marketing, was also present.

The course began with an introduction to the wider Disguise ecosystem, software interface and file-management practices before progressing to the Stage window and working in 3D. Attendees then explored timeline sequencing, media formats and codecs, video and generative layers, and the integration of LED screens and projection surfaces into a stage environment, including virtual projector setup.

Further sessions covered camera bookmarks and animation, layer grouping and keyframing, content mapping, Content Arrows and Piping, and the Feed Window. The programme also addressed MIDI configuration, d3Net and server roles, render modes, and the export of video and still images.

Both days reached full capacity, reflecting demand for structured training in the video systems and workflows used across live production and installation environments.

According to Oliver Luff, Managing Director at Lang Middle East, the course gave attendees a solid grounding in Disguise, taking them from first setup right through to delivering a finished project; with the feedback being overwhelmingly positive and requests for the next stage of Advanced training,

As Disguise’s official partner in the Middle East, Lang ME delivers regional access to the manufacturer’s technology and training. The response to the Dubai programme has also prompted requests for a follow-on advanced course.
