FORTÉ Announces Acquisition of Vega Global

APAC: FORTÉ, a globally-renowned name in communication and collaboration solutions designed for the modern workplace, has announced its acquisition of Vega Global; bringing APAC’s largest systems integrator into audiovisual solutions specialist’s international operation and significantly expanding its ability to deliver integrated AV and collaboration solutions across global markets.

The acquisition brings together two established organisations with complementary geographic strengths. Vega Global has an extensive presence across APAC and the Middle East, with operations spanning Hong Kong, Mainland China, India, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Korea, Vietnam, Australia, Philippines, Malaysia, Macau, New Zealand, Indonesia and United Arab Emirates. Minneapolis-headquartered FORTÉ adds this footprint to its existing operations in the U.S., Ireland, Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom and Mexico.

The enlarged organisation will now have professional staff in 22 countries and deliver audiovisual solutions across more than 70 major markets worldwide, creating what FORTÉ describes as the largest global footprint in the industry. The combined operation will provide integrated meeting room technologies, digital workplace solutions, mission-critical systems and managed services to customers across corporate, education, government and other market segments.

“Multinational organizations need strategic partners who can deliver consistent communication and collaboration experiences wherever their people work and do business,” said Jeff Stoebner, Chairman and CEO of FORTÉ. “With Vega Global now part of FORTÉ, we provide customers with the scale, speed and local expertise they require to enhance productivity across the globe.”

A major component of the acquisition is Vega Global’s workforce of more than 750 professional staff, led by Steven Medeiros who will take on the role of CEO of FORTÉ Asia, bringing the existing Vega Global operation into the wider FORTÉ structure while retaining the regional knowledge and customer relationships that have underpinned its growth across APAC.

“Joining FORTÉ is a strategic opportunity to expand what we can offer customers around the world,” said Medeiros, “Equally important, FORTÉ shares our commitment to customer service, innovation and people-first collaboration, making this a strong cultural fit and the right decision for our employees, customers and partners.”

For Vega Global, the move provides access to a significantly wider international network, while for FORTÉ it adds a mature APAC operation with established capabilities across workplace technology and professional AV. The combined resources are particularly relevant as organisations continue to move towards standardised collaboration environments, where consistent user experiences increasingly need to be supported by reliable deployment, service and lifecycle management across multiple territories.

Founded in 1974, FORTÉ has built its business around the design, delivery and support of modern workplace technology, with solutions covering integrated collaboration environments, digital workplace technologies, mission-critical systems and managed services. The company serves workplaces, classrooms, government agencies and commercial venues, with an emphasis on flexible and customised technology solutions.
