AVIXA Expands Professional Development Portfolio with SynAudCon Audio Training

GLOBAL: AVIXA has expanded its professional education portfolio through a new partnership with SynAudCon, making the audio education specialist’s online training courses available via its training and certification platform. The collaboration is designed to provide AV professionals with greater access to practical, real-world audio education while strengthening technical expertise across the industry.

“Adding the trusted audio training from SynAudCon to our education offerings advances our commitment to serving the AV community,” said Pam Taggart, Vice President of Content Creation, AVIXA. “This agreement creates a seamless pathway to professional audio education and helps build stronger technical foundations, supporting talent development across the pro AV industry.”

Pat Brown, President of SynAudCon, added, “This partnership harnesses AVIXA’s extensive experience for providing training for the pro AV industry with our courses that cover the fundamental principles that all audio technologies are built upon. This partnership is a big win for the audio community worldwide.”

The new offering comprises four online courses covering key aspects of professional audio. How Sound Systems Work introduces newcomers to the fundamental principles and terminology that underpin all sound systems. Principles of Audio provides an overview of core technical concepts, industry best practices and troubleshooting techniques while building a deeper understanding of advanced audio principles. Transformer-Distributed Loudspeaker Systems explores the role of transformers in signal distribution, including their impact on voltage, current and impedance. Meanwhile, Digital Signal Processing introduces the universal principles behind DSP, equipping learners with the knowledge required to deploy DSP solutions efficiently and prepare for manufacturer-specific DSP training programmes.

The self-paced courses incorporate animations, analogies, interactive calculators and practical demonstrations to explain technical concepts commonly encountered in real-world applications. Each purchase also includes a one-year membership to SynAudCon’s online forums, providing access to a global community of audio professionals, along with 90 days of on-demand course access, enabling learners to revisit training materials as needed. The SynAudCon courses are available separately and are not included as part of AVIXA membership.
