CHINA: As large-scale concert productions continue to push expectations for audio quality and audience experience, achieving consistent coverage across vast indoor venues remains one of live sound’s most demanding challenges. For the Tianjin stop of Wang Yuan’s 2026 tour, d&b audiotechnik addressed these requirements with a comprehensive loudspeaker deployment centred around its GSL, KSL, V-Series and SL-SUB systems, delivering a uniform sound field throughout the venue.

The large indoor arena presented strict demands in terms of coverage uniformity, directivity control and low-frequency management. To meet these challenges, the production team deployed d&b’s flagship GSL line array system as the main PA. Designed for major touring applications, GSL delivers a maximum SPL of 150dB while maintaining full-bandwidth directivity control, allowing acoustic energy to be focused precisely on the audience area. This ensured clear, transparent sound reproduction across the venue, including distant seating sections.

Supporting the main system, KSL loudspeakers were utilised for fill and delay tower applications, working in conjunction with GSL to improve coverage consistency and eliminate potential gaps throughout the audience area. V-Series loudspeakers were deployed for front-fill and stage-support duties, providing detailed vocal and instrument reinforcement while maintaining tonal consistency with the main system. Low-frequency performance was delivered by d&b’s SL-SUB subwoofers, which employ cardioid technology to direct bass energy towards the audience while significantly reducing unwanted rear and side radiation. The approach helped maintain powerful low-end impact while improving overall system control within the challenging indoor environment.

From primary coverage and fill reinforcement to low-frequency management, the integrated system design ensured consistent sound quality throughout the venue, contributing to a highly controlled and immersive listening experience for concertgoers. And following the successful Tianjin performance, Wang Yuan’s touring team is now preparing for the next stop of the tour in Hefei, where d&b audiotechnik is expected to once again provide the sound reinforcement solution supporting the production’s continued run.
