Artmix Turns Up The Scale with Adamson Vergence Group At Netflix Korea’s 10th Anniversary Festival Knowledge Hub Latest Live News by Elton - November 3, 2026November 1, 2026 SOUTH KOREA: When Netflix set out to celebrate its 10th anniversary in South Korea, the occasion called for more than a conventional fan gathering. Dubbed ‘Netflix Korea 10th Anniversary Crazy Net! <Netflix Festival>’, the two-day celebration, held on 24–25 October 2026 at Seoul’s Sangam Cultural Reserve Base, brought together some of the biggest names in Korean entertainment, live performances, audience participation experiences and previews of upcoming productions. With thousands of fans filling the venue and major stage presentations also reaching audiences online, the event demanded a sound reinforcement solution capable of matching its considerable scale. For reputed Korean live rental solutions company Artmix, the occasion also presented an opportunity to put its recently acquired Adamson Vergence Group system through its paces. Acquired around September 2026, the system made its outing at the festival with a substantial deployment of Adamson VGt line array modules and VGd large format high-output subwoofers, configured to deliver consistent coverage across the expansive outdoor performance area. The scale and diversity of the festival made coverage a particularly important consideration. The programme brought together cast appearances, interactive segments and musical performances, with the first day’s main-stage proceedings featuring appearances by stars from some of Netflix Korea’s most recognised productions, alongside performances by artists including Bada, Choi Baek-ho, Kyuhyun and Zico. The main-stage programme also generated considerable online engagement, recording 3.58 million cumulative real-time viewers across YouTube, TikTok and Chuu. Against this backdrop, Artmix needed to ensure that the physical audience experienced the same sense of scale and impact as the performances unfolding on stage. At the heart of the deployment were 52 units of the Adamson VGt line array modules, arranged in four hangs in a 10+16+16+10 configuration. The primary FOH system comprised a stereo line array configuration, with each main hang carrying 16 units of the VGt modules. These were complemented by two outrigger arrays, each comprising 10 units of the VGt modules, positioned to extend coverage towards the audience sections flanking the stage. This arrangement allowed the main arrays to address the central audience area while the outriggers extended the coverage footprint beyond the primary listening zone. The objective was to maintain a clear, consistent and impactful full-spectrum sonic experience across the width of the performance area, rather than concentrating the system’s energy exclusively towards the audience directly in front of the stage. The choice of the VGt also brought the capabilities of Adamson’s Vergence Group platform into play. Designed to provide uniform 90-degree horizontal coverage across its frequency range, with a specified maximum peak SPL of 151 dB, the VGt’s onboard DSP and AVB Milan audio streaming capabilities also form part of the system’s integrated network architecture. Low-frequency reinforcement was entrusted to 24 units of the Adamson VGd large format high-output subwoofers, ground-stacked beneath the performance stage in 12 stacks of two units each. Working alongside the VGt arrays, the VGd deployment provided the low-frequency foundation required to give the performances their weight and impact, while the system’s cardioid configuration helped maintain control over LF energy. Team Artmix reveal that both the VGt and VGd were configured with cardioid settings, with the backstage area muted with LF. This approach was particularly relevant in an event environment where stage activity, artist movements and production operations had to coexist with the powerful low-frequency output required across the audience area. By managing the directionality of low-frequency energy, Artmix was able to deliver tight bass response and uncompromised impact towards the audience while maintaining a noticeably quieter backstage environment. The latter was particularly well received by on-site personnel, allowing conversations to take place more comfortably away from the main performance area. Supporting the loudspeaker deployment were Adamson’s CS Rack (NDS / PDS), Gateway and Bridge components, alongside certified speaker cabling. The CS Rack’s Power Distribution System (PDS) handled power distribution to the system components, while the Network Distribution System (NDS) provided network and analogue patching; allowing redundant networked audio and control to be carried to connected loudspeakers over a single network cable. The Gateway further supported the networked architecture, functioning as a Milan-compliant Ethernet switch with primary and secondary network connectivity, alongside AES/EBU and analogue audio interfacing and onboard DSP. Together with the Bridge, these components formed part of the supporting infrastructure for the Vergence Group deployment. Certified speaker cables were also used throughout, helping Artmix maintain the integrity of the signal and power connections required to realise the system’s performance. For Artmix, the Netflix Korea anniversary festival was more than an opportunity to showcase a newly acquired loudspeaker system. It was a substantial deployment across a wide outdoor performance environment, requiring the integration of main PA coverage, extended side coverage, high-output low-frequency reinforcement and carefully managed backstage acoustics. The deployment demonstrated how the Adamson Vergence Group platform could be configured to address the demands of a large-scale, multi-performance event while maintaining coverage consistency and low-frequency control across the site.
