Immersive INFiLED Display Transforms Arrival Experience at World’s Tallest Hotel

DUBAI: INFiLED has supplied the LED technology behind an immersive lobby installation at Ciel Dubai Marina, where a custom display has been integrated into the reception area of what is recognised as the world’s tallest hotel. The 82-storey property, part of the IHG Vignette Collection and managed by The First Group Hospitality, comprises 857 guest rooms and 147 suites.

Designed as the visual focal point of the hotel’s arrival experience, the installation combines flat WP Series modules with curved WP Wrap Series panels to create a seamless LED surface measuring 3.6 x 6.75m. The curved WP Wrap Series panels form a 120-degree arc that follows the contours of the lobby wall, enabling the display to integrate closely with the building’s architectural design. Operating at a 1.25mm pixel pitch with a brightness of 800 nits, the display delivers high-resolution imagery suited to the venue’s premium hospitality environment.

The WP Wrap Series panels feature a slim 29.5mm edge profile, allowing them to sit flush against the wall, while front-access servicing enables maintenance without disrupting the surrounding lobby. The installation is also engineered for continuous 24/7 operation.

Beyond serving as a digital architectural feature, the display has been designed to support interactive guest experiences. In its standard operating mode, it responds dynamically as visitors move through the lobby, while its flexible configuration also allows it to support brand activations and special events. In late 2025, the display formed part of a promotional event featuring actor Jason Momoa during the launch of his Meili Vodka brand at the hotel.

The project was delivered by Huda Lighting, a regional lighting solutions provider with more than 25 years of experience across the hospitality, retail and commercial sectors in the Middle East, North Africa and the UK. Working alongside the Ciel project team from the early design stages, Huda Lighting integrated the LED display into the curved architecture of the lobby to create a unified visual centrepiece.

“The objective was to create a distinctive user experience from the moment visitors enter the lobby, with a design that integrates seamlessly with the wall’s curvature,” said Khaled B. Alami, Managing Director at Huda Lighting. “The content follows a movement-based theme, dynamically responding as people approach, and it also supports touch interaction for an engaging, immersive experience.”
