Audix Appoints Eric Reese as Vice President

GLOBAL: Audix has announced the appointment of Eric Reese as Vice President, placing him in charge of sales, marketing, product development and operations across the microphone manufacturer’s global business.

Joining Audix as part of the Videndum Creative Solutions family of brands, Reese brings more than 26 years of experience spanning the professional AV, entertainment technology and live production sectors. In his new role, he will oversee all business functions, drawing on a career that has encompassed manufacturing, systems integration, business development, channel management and live sound production.

Reese began his professional journey as a reliability engineer at Peavey Electronics before building a diverse career across multiple areas of the industry. His experience includes senior roles at Sennheiser, where he spent 11 years, and Shure, where he worked for five years. Additional positions at Ford Audio-Video, AVI-SPL and Blizzard Lighting have provided him with broad exposure to both the manufacturing and systems integration sides of the market. Beyond his corporate career, Reese remains actively involved in live production through his ownership of Loud and Clear Productions, a live sound production company. He also performs as the frontman of a John Mellencamp tribute band, giving him direct experience from both technical and performance perspectives.

The appointment comes as Audix continues to build on a legacy spanning more than four decades, with the company maintaining a strong reputation among engineers, musicians and audio professionals for its microphone technologies and US-based product development.

“Audix has been an iconic, product-focused brand for over 40 years,” comments Reese. “It’s passionate following is due to its dedication to unique products, for engineers and musicians, designed and built by engineers and musicians right here in the USA. Now that I’ve dug deeper into their products and technologies, I believe that Audix is the best kept secret in microphones. My goal is to increase the awareness of Audix products and technologies with engineers, artists, and system designers, and to challenge more people to take the ‘Audix Challenge’ and listen to what they’ve been missing for over 40 years. I look forward to utilising my varied skillset and industry knowledge to collaborate with the team at Audix to continue the brand’s legacy and usher in a new era of quality audio.”
