Robert Juliat Premieres Bizet 8-Colour

The new addition to the Robert Juliat Bizet family of profiles and Fresnels was met with great excitement and hype at the World Premiere of the brand-new Bizet 8-Colour Fresnel, which took place at ISE 2026.

Bizet 8-Colour’s innovative light engine is designed around a unique combination of 8 LED colours: deep red, red, amber, green, cyan, sky blue, deep (royal) blue and, for the first time in a theatre fixture, yellow (patent pending).

“The introduction of yellow gives better control of the colour spectrum and an increased light output, without any sacrifice to the quality of the light (CRI >98),” explains RJ’s Product Manager, Ludwig Lepage. “Thanks to its eight colours and the use of additive colour mixing we have a very wide gamut and more detailed balance within the spectrum. The output is equivalent to 2kW tungsten fixtures (and in excess of 22,000 lumens for the Fresnel) which makes Bizet 8-Colour a viable colour, LED alternative with which to replace existing traditional tungsten rigs.”

Bizet’s new 8-Colour version will also be available as a profile spot series, later in the year, and compatible with existing RJ 700 Series lamp houses. Together with Sully’s compatibility with RJ’s 600 Series, it will provide a complete and economical colour and/or white replacement solution across both ranges.

Bizet and Sully’s complementary nature continues with their integration of RJ Color, the well-established and innovative colour management solution originally developed for the Sully 4C. RJ Color is capable of managing all data in real-time to deliver a result as close as possible to a desired shade, whatever console is being used.

“Bizet uses the same DMX charts as the Sully 4-Colour range and is therefore very easy to control by anyone familiar with RJ Color,” says Lepage.

Alongside at the show, Robert Juliat promoted its collaboration with Madrix, demonstrating how all RJ RDM fixtures are MADRIX RADAR compliant, and highlighting Robert Juliat’s position as an official approved supplier of MADRIX RADAR licences to other manufacturers.

“MADRIX RADAR takes RDM to the next level with effortless fixture addressing, fully automatic 24/7 device monitoring during operation, and automatic notifications,” says RJ’s Customer Service Manager, Thierry Dupont. “New capabilities based on the Firmware Transfer Control (FTC) will allow users to leverage existing standards even more, ensuring smooth workflows and reducing downtime.”

And finally, Robert Juliat’s latest 825W LED Compact Range followspots, the long-throw Tristan (7°-14° zoom) and short-throw Morgane (13°-24° zoom), were also on show and generating huge amounts of positive interest as the perfect LED replacements for RJ’s former 1800W discharge series.

Tristan and Morgane offer advanced new features that include, for the first time, a motorized iris which can be controlled remotely as well as locally. New mounting positions have been added to adapt photo-compatible accessories and, in particular, integrate a remote display that provides real-time information such as the iris size and light intensity directly on a display with a direct view of the light.

Both are available as Cool White or Variable White models, the latter ranging from 3000K to 6300K. This allows the colour temperature to be adjusted directly from the console or via controllers, and eliminates the need for corrective filters on the front gel changer. Naturally, both are compatible with Robert Juliat’s SpotMe followspot tracking system.
