Kenneth Ang, Managing Director of Team Grey Group says, “We decided to use our years of experience in event management and creative design to organise the SLV Symposium as we see a gap in the industry that needs to be filled.”
The SLV Symposium’s key objective is to run training workshops, seminars and panel discussions that are current and relevant to the industry for participants from all over South East Asia.
“We realised that many in the Sound, Light and Visual industry do not have the opportunity to upgrade their knowledge due to time constraints. We plan to bring in industry experts to share knowledge and create discussion amongst everyone in this industry from every part of South-East Asia. We are also encouraging brands such as Coda Audio, L-Acoustics, DiGiCo, Arkaos, Coolux, RGB Link, Panasonic and Madrix to conduct their training during the SLV Symposium so as to maximise their reach,” he added.
Kenneth Ang believes that the SLV Symposium will re-energise the industry as for some time now the industry has lacked a strong event that excites them. He adds that Kuala Lumpur is a great location for this symposium due to its strategic location to other South-East Asian countries and its reasonably priced accommodations, food and beverage as well as entertainment.”
The SLV Symposium is supported by UnUsUaL Productions and Asia Music City, a new Music Lifestyle Integrated Hub that will be launched at Quill City Mall and is expected to be up and running by the second half of 2018. Philip Seah, Director of Asia Music City adds, “The SLV Symposium is aligned with our vision of an integrated music lifestyle hub and thus we decided to partner with Team Grey for the event.”
The Quill City Mall is located at the Jalan Sultan Ismail area, a central part of Kuala Lumpur. “The SLV Symposium will be held on level 5 and 6 of the Quill City Mall. There is also a light rail station next to the Mall, making it easily accessible ,” said Kenneth.
“We are pleased to say that we have already attracted and are in discussions with Coda Audio, Notch Audio, Yamaha, Shure, L-Acoustics, Allen & Heath, TW Audio, DPA, DiGiCo, Sommer, Mipro, Analog Way, Roland, Altair, Mackie, Global Truss, Ictc, Sennheiser, Midas, Turbosound, Klark-Teknik, Fenix, Robe, ACME, Smoke Factory, Arkaos, Coolux, RGB Link, D’Colour, MA Lighting, Robert Juliat, Kupo, Chain Master, Vari-Lite, Kinesys, Penn-Elcom, Colour Imagination, Blackmagic, Tech Team, JBL, EAW, Adamson, GRF, Nexo, Pioneer, AKG, APEX, Dante, REM, Funktion-One, VMB, Soundcraft, Crown, DBX, QSC, Denon, Lexicon, Martin, JB Light, Ayrton, High End, Le Maitre, Panasonic and Madrix to be part of the event and we hope to deliver an event that will energise the industry once again,” concludes Kenneth Ang.
