CHINA: Shenzhen Happy Valley’s 2026 Summer Festival featured a 235m² five-screen outdoor LED display built around INFiLED AP Series technology, creating a layered visual canvas that extended across the full performance area. Comprising 940 units of the P3.91 LED display cabinets, the installation reached 12 metres at its centre and stepped progressively down through four additional screens, giving the stage a distinctive silhouette while providing a versatile visual platform for live entertainment, seasonal programming and changing content.

At the centre of the design was a 7 × 12 metre display covering 84m², flanked by two 5 × 9.5 metre inner screens, each covering 47.5m², and two 3.5 × 8 metre outer screens, each measuring 28m². Rather than functioning as a conventional rectangular LED backdrop, the five-screen arrangement created a visual hierarchy across the stage, with the central display serving as the primary focal point while the angled inner screens added depth and the outer displays extended the visual environment towards the stage wings.

The configuration also provided content creators with greater freedom to vary the visual composition across different performances and festival programmes. Content could be concentrated on the central display, distributed across selected screens or extended across the complete five-screen arrangement, allowing the physical geometry of the LED installation to become part of the creative design rather than simply serving as a backdrop.

The INFiLED AP Series displays provided the performance characteristics required for the outdoor environment, with brightness of up to 5,000 nits, a refresh rate of up to 7,680 Hz and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio. Wide viewing angles supported visibility across the audience area, while the combination of brightness, contrast and high refresh rate maintained image clarity, colour and smooth motion as ambient conditions changed throughout the festival.

The scale of the installation also placed emphasis on deployment efficiency and long-term serviceability. The AP Series utilised a lightweight magnesium-alloy structure with reduced internal wiring, while INFiLED’s patented quick-lock system enabled individual cabinet connections to be secured in approximately five seconds. Positioning columns helped maintain alignment across the extensive LED surfaces, an important consideration for a five-screen configuration incorporating hundreds of adjoining cabinets.

For outdoor operation, the cabinets featured an IP65 rating for protection against rain, moisture and dust, while ArmorLED technology provided additional protection around the LEDs during transportation, installation and operation. Thermal management was addressed through a 4.2 V energy-saving IC, enlarged heat-dissipation ribs and optimised cooling around the PDU. All five screens incorporated rear-service access, while a quick-detachable PDU allowed essential components to be accessed from behind the stage without disrupting the front-facing visual presentation.
