GLOBAL: In a move designed to simplify one of the most critical layers of modern AV infrastructure, Bluesound Professional and NETGEAR have announced a strategic collaboration to enable faster, more reliable deployment of networked audio systems through preconfigured profiles on NETGEAR AV switches.

At the core of this partnership is a new approach to network optimisation, with NETGEAR AV switches now set to include dedicated profiles that automatically configure settings for Bluesound Professional devices. By removing the need for manual network setup, the solution significantly reduces complexity for system integrators while ensuring consistent and dependable system performance.

Bluesound Professional’s ecosystem is powered by BluOS, its multi-zone audio management platform that enables synchronised streaming and control across multiple endpoints. With the integration of preconfigured network profiles, installations can now be streamlined further, as key parameters for BluOS traffic are applied automatically — minimising the risk of configuration errors that can disrupt system functionality.

The profiles will be accessible directly through NETGEAR’s AV Operating System (AV OS), allowing integrators to deploy optimised settings as part of their standard workflow. This integration ensures that network configuration aligns seamlessly with system design, reducing commissioning time and improving overall deployment efficiency.

Scheduled for availability across the full range of NETGEAR AV switches, and via the NETGEAR Engage control software, the solution will include preloaded profiles for all Bluesound Professional networked devices. While compatible with all BluOS-enabled products, these profiles are specifically engineered for commercial AV environments, supporting streamlined Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployment and simplified subnet configuration.
