Elation has extended its acclaimed KL “Key Light” Series with the introduction of the KL FRESNEL IP range, delivering the signature aesthetic of a traditional Fresnel luminaire—soft edges, natural falloff, and rich, balanced colour—in a robust IP65-rated design built for both indoor and outdoor environments.

Available in 6-inch and 8-inch variants, the KL FRESNEL IP fixtures are engineered to meet the exacting demands of light-critical and noise-sensitive applications such as broadcast studios, theatres, and live production environments. At the core of the system is an advanced RGBMA engine paired with customised optics, enabling precise, full-spectrum colour reproduction—from deeply saturated tones to delicate pastels and dynamic white light.

Designed for seamless integration, the fixtures are fully calibrated with Elation’s broader KL and FUZE families, ensuring consistent colour quality across mixed lighting rigs. The luminaires deliver camera-ready output with variable colour temperature control ranging from 2400K to 8500K, alongside a dim-to-warm feature that replicates the familiar glow of traditional incandescent sources.

Colour fidelity remains a defining strength, with high CRI (94) and TLCI (95) ratings ensuring accurate rendering both visually and on camera. Additional tools such as CMY emulation, a virtual gel library, and green–magenta shift adjustment provide designers with familiar and flexible control over colour tuning and correction.

Precision optics are matched with an internal motorised zoom range of 8° to 60°, maintaining classic Fresnel beam behaviour while offering adaptability across a wide range of applications. Adjustable 8-leaf barndoors further enhance beam shaping, allowing for refined control in complex lighting setups.

Engineered for modern production workflows, the KL FRESNEL IP operates with whisper-quiet performance and features an LED refresh rate of up to 25 kHz, ensuring compatibility with high-speed cameras. Multiple DMX-controllable fan modes—from High to Silent—allow optimisation for both live events and broadcast environments.

Portability and durability are central to the design, with a lightweight, IP65-rated housing that protects against dust and moisture while maintaining a clean, professional aesthetic. Integrated setup tools, including NFC configuration, a rear-facing LCD interface with dual encoders, and Aria X2 wireless DMX, streamline deployment from installation through to programming.
