INFiLED’s Transparent LED Cube Redefines 360° Concert Visuals as TWICE Returns to Kuala Lumpur

MALAYSIA: Global K-pop phenomenon TWICE made a spectacular return to Malaysia as part of their sixth world tour, “THIS IS FOR,” transforming the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil into a fully immersive performance arena through an ambitious 360° stage concept. Departing from the traditional front-facing concert format, the circular stage design placed fans at the heart of the experience, ensuring every seat in the stadium offered a direct and unforgettable connection to the performance.

Central to this visual spectacle was a striking transparent LED cube powered by INFiLED’s HL3978 Transparent LED Display, implemented by DC Zon Productions Malaysia, specialists in professional audio-visual rental and full-scale event production. A total of 340sqm of see-through LED panels formed a massive four-sided cubic structure measuring 17 metres wide by 5 metres high on each side, with a resolution of 4352 × 640 pixels per face. The installation became a defining visual centrepiece, seamlessly blending dynamic content with lighting and stage effects to envelop the audience in a multi-dimensional visual environment.

Designed specifically for high-end rental applications such as concerts, music festivals and large-scale live events, the INFiLED HL3978 delivered a distinctive visual language through its 50% transparency, allowing imagery to coexist fluidly with the surrounding production elements rather than overpower them. Flexible curvature was achieved using curved connectors adjustable from –15° to +15° in 2.5° increments, while the ability to assemble right-angled structures enabled the creation of the cube’s precise geometric form. Practical cabinet design further supported the demanding production schedule, with an integrated base enhancing module stability and metal edge protection safeguarding the panels during transport and installation.

Performance consistency was equally critical for a show of this scale. Operating at a 7680Hz refresh rate and equipped with Novastar A8s Pro receiving cards, the HL3978 system supported thermal calibration to maintain colour uniformity even as operating temperatures rose under intense stage lighting. Installation flexibility allowed for both hanging and stacking configurations, with build heights of up to 9 metres, giving the production team creative freedom without compromising structural integrity.

Despite an exceptionally tight five-hour setup window, DC Zon Productions executed the installation with speed and precision. The lightweight 7.5kg HL3978 cabinets, measuring 1000 × 500mm, combined with an ergonomic handle design, enabled rapid assembly while maintaining the exacting standards required for a stadium-scale, broadcast-ready K-pop production.

For Malaysian ONCEs, the concert was more than a tour stop; it was an emotional reunion with one of K-pop’s most influential groups. Powered by INFiLED’s transparent LED technology and realised through meticulous execution on the ground, TWICE’s Kuala Lumpur performance delivered a night where music, visuals and audience connection converged into a truly immersive live experience.
