APAC: dBTechnologies has appointed Wilson Tan as APAC Application Engineer, adding further technical depth to its expanding regional team. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Tan brings a professional audio background spanning installation, system design and integration, alongside a strong connection to music.

In his new role, Tan will provide application support to distributors, partners and audio professionals across the APAC markets where dBTechnologies operates. His responsibilities will also include training, demonstrations and educational activities, giving the brand an additional technical resource across the region.

Tan already has experience with dBTechnologies and its product portfolio, particularly in installation applications. The new position will broaden that experience into touring and live sound, with a particular focus on the VIO Series.

Tan’s appointment also marks another step in dBTechnologies’ stated effort to build a dedicated technical structure for APAC. According to Manuele Poli, Head of Sales APAC, Tan becomes the second application engineer dedicated solely to the region, while the wider APAC team has grown to five people. “I am extremely happy about Wilson’s addition to the APAC Team. Wilson is a truly talented guy with a great attitude, and it will be the second application engineer solely dedicated to the APAC region. When I met Wilson for the first time, I immediately understood that his great talent would have been an amazing addition for dBTechnologuies. When two years ago we promised our distributors and end-users that we would have implemented a solid team that would have supported them regularly wasn’t just a catchphrase. After two years we now have 5 persons dedicated to the APAC region and that’s just the beginning.“

With Tan joining the team, dBTechnologies gains another regional resource covering system design, configuration, application support and training. His remit across installation, touring and live applications also gives the company greater technical coverage as it continues to develop its presence across APAC.
