dBTechnologies VIO Delivers Concert-Scale Precision for Intertwined by Fate: Double Helix in Bangkok

THAILAND: A dBTechnologies VIO Series sound reinforcement system underpinned the audio production for the Intertwined by Fate: Double Helix fan meeting concert, held on 25–26 July at Thunder Dome in Bangkok, Thailand. Featuring cast members Ayden Sng, Elio Lv (Lyu Sitong), Fa Xuange and He Jiashu, the two-day event combined live performances of original soundtracks with interactive fan engagements, press conferences, sound checks and exclusive fan experiences. The technical production for the live performance was delivered through a collaboration between Ten Years After Audio, Keep Sound System and AUDITECH Co., Ltd.; with the VIO Series system engineered to provide consistent full-range coverage, controlled directivity and balanced sound reproduction throughout the venue.

The main PA comprised 32 units of the VIO L1610 three-way active line array modules configured as left and right hangs of 16 cabinets each; leveraging the VIO L1610‘s high output capability with controlled vertical dispersion to allow the system to project articulate vocals and detailed programme material across the long throw distance while maintaining tonal consistency throughout the audience area.

Low-frequency reinforcement was delivered by 16 units of the VIO S218 subwoofers deployed as eight ground stacks of two units positioned across the front of the stage. This distributed subwoofer configuration helped achieve more uniform low-frequency coverage across the venue while providing the impact and extension required for contemporary concert productions.

To ensure seamless coverage for audience members closest to the stage, eight VIO L210 line array modules were deployed as front-fill loudspeakers, with one cabinet mounted above each subwoofer stack to independently address the near-field listening zone, thereby minimising coverage gaps immediately in front of the stage while maintaining tonal continuity and speech intelligibility between the front rows and the main audience area.

System management was handled by a dBTechnologies Control 8 system controller, with monitoring and optimisation carried out through the company’s Aurora Net software platform. The integrated control environment afforded seamless system operation, managed loudspeaker parameters and monitored amplifier status in real time; streamlining system oversight throughout the production.

Deployed at one of Thailand’s established indoor entertainment venues, the VIO Series configuration demonstrated the platform’s scalability and potential for delivering the output capability, coverage consistency and operational reliability required to support the demands of modern-day events.
