L-Acoustics A Series Powers CLC Phuket’s Day-to-Night Entertainment Experience Install Knowledge Hub Latest News by Elton - June 30, 2026June 30, 2026 THAILAND: A new hospitality destination in Phuket is redefining the relationship between dining and live entertainment with the deployment of an L-Acoustics sound system engineered to deliver everything from subtle background music to concert-level performance within a single venue. Located in Phuket’s Bang Tao district, CLC Phuket—short for Come Leo Come—draws inspiration from the glamour of the 1920s and 1930s, combining Pan-Asian and Mediterranean cuisine with live music, DJ performances and large-scale tribute shows. As the evening progresses, the venue’s 250-capacity main room transitions seamlessly from fine dining restaurant to live performance space and dance floor, while a separate karaoke room accommodates more intimate gatherings of around 50 guests. L-Acoustics A Series has to carry the venue across its full programming range, from background music during dining through to high-SPL DJ sets and live performances later in the night To support this diverse operating model, the venue required an audio system capable of delivering consistent tonal balance and coverage across a wide dynamic range, from low-level background music during dinner service to high-SPL live entertainment later in the evening. The installation was delivered by Bangkok-based L-Acoustics Certified Partner Vision One after the venue’s owners experienced an L-Acoustics system previously installed by the company at Café del Mar Phuket. “The experience CLC’s owners had at Café del Mar Phuket was so positive that they specifically asked their system integrator to approach us for an L-Acoustics solution,” said Akarat ‘Pete’ Thitipattakul, Business Development Manager at Vision One. “Their brief was for a sound system that could support both early evening and late-night experiences with consistent coverage and high-output performance.” CLC has one A Series Approach across two rooms in the venue Designing the system presented several challenges, as loudspeaker locations were largely dictated by the venue’s architectural and interior design. Vision One therefore used L-Acoustics Soundvision modelling software to optimise coverage and SPL distribution before installation, refining the system configuration to ensure consistent performance throughout both audience spaces. The main performance area features left and right hangs comprising one A15 Focus and one A15 Wide beneath an A15 BUMP rigging system on each side, supported by four KS21 subwoofers. Two X8i loudspeakers, complemented by an additional two KS21 subwoofers, provide delay coverage to maintain uniform SPL distribution across the venue. The karaoke room employs a similar configuration, with two hangs each comprising one A15 Focus and one A15 Wide per side using A15 BUMP rigging, alongside two KS21 subwoofers providing low-frequency reinforcement. The interior design fixed where loudspeakers could hang and so L-Acoustics Spundvision had to be used to ensure coverage within positions the team could not move Across both spaces, the system is powered and managed by four LA4X amplified controllers and one LA2Xi amplified controller. “We chose the A Series because it offers an ideal balance of power, coverage flexibility, musicality and compact form factor,” explained Thitipattakul. “The combination of A15 Focus and A15 Wide allowed us to optimise coverage throughout the venue while maintaining tonal consistency. When combined with the KS21 subwoofers, we were able to deliver strong low-frequency performance and excellent vocal clarity, which were critical requirements for the client.” Given CLC Phuket’s location some distance from Vision One’s Bangkok headquarters, the installation also incorporates remote system access, allowing the integrator to provide technical support and troubleshooting when required. Vision One additionally trained the venue’s technical team on system operation and tuning to ensure reliable day-to-day performance. The main room centres on two hangs, each configured with one L-Acoustics A15 Focus and one A15 Wide , while L-Acoustics KS21 handles low-frequency reproduction Since opening, the installation has consistently supported the venue’s evolving entertainment programme, maintaining clarity, coverage and high-output performance as the atmosphere transitions from relaxed dining to live performances and late-night DJ sets. Reflecting on the completed project, Thitipattakul concluded: “CLC’s team can now let a night build naturally — from dinner, to live performance, to dance floor — without ever needing to compromise the sound to get there. That continuity, from the quietest moment to the loudest, is what the old approach couldn’t offer.” Share on Facebook Share Share on TwitterTweet Share on Pinterest Share Share on LinkedIn Share Share on Digg Share
