Claypaky Powers Spectacular Visuals for Aditya Gadhvi’s Mumbai Concert Extravaganza Knowledge Hub Latest Live News by Elton - June 8, 2026June 7, 2026 INDIA: Claypaky lighting fixtures took centre stage at Aditya Gadhvi’s two-night concert series held on 25 and 26 April at Mumbai’s Jio World Garden, where Lighting Designer Jasangat Sonpal deployed an extensive rig to complement the artist’s high-energy blend of contemporary and Gujarati folk music. Staged at one of India’s most prestigious event destinations within the Bandra Kurla Complex, the concerts attracted thousands of fans and featured an ambitious lighting design supplied by Mumbai-based rental company Light N Light. The deployment included 70 units of Claypaky Sharpy X Frame hybrid beam, spot and wash fixtures, 48 units of HY B-Eye K15 and 16 units of HY B-Eye K25 LED beam/wash/effect luminaires, 16 units of Tambora Battens, 16 units of Arolla Aqua moving heads and 16 units of Rhapsodya multispectral RGBAL LED fixtures. Sonpal utilised the extensive Claypaky inventory to frame the stage architecture, accentuate the IMAG screens and create powerful aerial effects extending into both the audience and the night sky. A central circular lighting pod further enhanced the visual focus on Gadhvi’s performance, helping create an immersive environment within the venue’s open-air setting. Among the fixtures deployed, the Sharpy X Frame played a particularly prominent role. Combining the beam characteristics associated with the Sharpy family with an advanced four-focal-plane shutter system, the hybrid fixture delivered the versatility required across the large-scale production while maintaining a compact footprint. “Gadhvi’s show was the fifth tour in a row where I have preferred Claypaky over the competition,” Sonpal says. “I think that speaks volumes about my likes and preferences when it comes to lighting fixtures.” The lighting designer also highlighted the versatility of the Arolla Aqua fixtures, noting their effectiveness across multiple applications within the production. “In particular, he says the Arolla Aquas are ‘great both as key lights and effect lights.’” Sonpal further praised the consistency of Claypaky’s wash fixtures, which have become a regular feature of his designs. “Claypaky washes have been my go-to fixtures for years, and even after using them so often I don’t see any change in output which is amazing.” The project once again demonstrated Claypaky’s strong presence within India’s premium live entertainment sector, with a diverse fixture portfolio helping deliver the scale, flexibility and visual impact demanded by one of the country’s most prominent concert productions.
