JBL Debuts Updated Intellivox Active Digital Beam Shaping Column loudspeakers Ennovations Knowledge Hub Latest by Elton - February 6, 2026February 6, 2026 JBL Professional has debuted the updated version of its Intellivox Active Digital Beam Shaping Column loudspeakers, now featuring Dante networked audio support. The 13 newly introduced arrays serve as the next-generation replacements for all previous models in the Intellivox DSX, DS, and HP‑DS product families, offering enhanced performance and expanded capabilities. They are said to deliver unmatched audio coverage control and exceptional intelligibility for sound reinforcement and public address in large or reverberant spaces such as transport hubs, houses of worship, parliaments, theatres, atriums, and museums. Combining multiple high‑quality drivers with advanced digital signal processing and integrated multi‑channel amplifiers, the new models enable precise digital beam shaping. At the heart of Intellivox is JBL’s Digital Directivity Synthesis (DDS) Beam Shaping technology, which allows users to define exactly where sound should be projected—and where it should not. By tailoring coverage areas and minimizing reflections, DDS maximizes the direct‑to‑reverberant ratio, resulting in clear, intelligible sound even in the most challenging acoustic spaces. The slim, unobtrusive design makes these column loudspeaker arrays ideal for installations where architectural preservation is critical. Enclosures require no mechanical aiming, are available in custom colors, and can even be recessed to blend seamlessly into buildings of all ages and styles. For integration flexibility, Intellivox supports Dante and analog audio inputs alongside IP control connectivity. Built‑in redundancy and status monitoring ensure reliable, worry‑free operation in mission‑critical applications. Each system includes an electronics module that provides network connectivity for control via free WinControl software, enabling easy setup and monitoring of Intellivox installations. For system designers, the DDA (Digital Directivity Analysis) software tool offers advanced simulation and optimization of directional behavior, as well as modeling of other loudspeakers within the system. “These Intellivox columns bring enhanced versatility with Dante audio networking,” said Steve Mathis, Senior Product Manager, Installed Acoustics, HARMAN Professional Solutions. “They continue to offer the sophisticated Intellivox sound and industry-leading beam shaping that designers and architects have trusted for years. We’re thrilled to bring these new models to market and see them elevate projects around the world.” Share on Facebook Share Share on TwitterTweet Share on Pinterest Share Share on LinkedIn Share Share on Digg Share
