Astera Expands Its QuikFamily with QuikBeam Ennovations Knowledge Hub Latest by Elton - February 4, 2026February 3, 2026 Astera has expanded its growing QuikFamily portfolio with the launch of QuikBeam, a wireless LED lighting fixture engineered to deliver maximum output, precision beam control and rapid deployment in an exceptionally compact and lightweight form factor. Designed to be usable across virtually any lighting scenario, QuikBeam enters the market as a super-bright, fresnel-lensed fixture combining portability, robustness and Astera’s established colour performance credentials. At the heart of QuikBeam is Astera’s Titan LED Engine, delivering high-quality colour mixing alongside high CRI and TLCI performance, while a 13–60 degree zoom range provides flexibility across uplighting, accent lighting, stage applications and broadcast use. An extra click beyond 13 degrees activates Astera’s HotBeam effect, producing a clean, highly defined and perfectly rounded narrow beam with enhanced central intensity, extending throw distance and delivering additional punch where precision and brightness are critical. QuikBrick-insertion Flexibility and speed of workflow have clearly driven the design. QuikBeam introduces QuikBrick, a replaceable and swappable battery system that allows batteries to be changed on site rather than waiting for fixtures to recharge. Spare batteries can remain on charge and be swapped in and out as needed, ensuring fixtures are always ready for immediate deployment in fast-turnaround rental and event environments. Hardwired operation and charging are equally versatile. PoE (Power over Ethernet) connectivity over EtherCON enables combined power and data over a single cable across distances of up to 100 metres, supporting streamlined installations, remote prepping and sACN / ArtNet control. QuikBeam can also be charged directly via PoE with the QuikBrick battery inserted, whether in the fixture itself, a 4-unit flight case or a 4-unit NetBox. A singular PowerInjector power supply enables hardwired operation and charging, while the fixture can also operate hardwired without a battery, maintaining IP65 integrity by fitting the detached battery cover neatly into the battery slot. Astera has paid equal attention to beam shaping and mounting flexibility. The integrated ‘QuikTurn’ mechanics provide straightforward zoom adjustment, while lightweight barn doors with SafetyLink, an EdgeSoftener filter for classic fresnel looks, and a rotatable elliptical filter allow detailed beam control without repositioning the fixture. Multiple mounting options are included as standard, with a removable yoke, rear kickstand, Airline track compatibility for TrackPin, TrackPin Compact and TrackSpigot 28/16 accessories, holes for stage clamps or threaded bolts, a 3/8” thread inherited from the Quik family, and an additional ¼” thread for smaller pins or tripod mounting. NetBox_IP65 Charging and preparation workflows are further supported by a dedicated ChargingDock capable of charging up to four batteries simultaneously via a single TRUE1 cable, with individual charging indicators on each battery. Each QuikBrick battery also includes a USB-C connector for fast charging and can double as a backup cell phone power bank. The NetBox provides full PrepBox functionality, hardwiring up to four fixtures via EtherCON at distances of up to 100 metres, and can be truss-mounted using an optional bracket. Both QuikBeam and the NetBox retain IP65 ratings when used with EtherCON connectors, and as PoE is an industry standard, any PoE switch can be used for hardwiring or charging. Positioned alongside Astera’s already established QuikSpot and QuikPunch fixtures, QuikBeam completes a trio aimed at redefining precision LED lighting for events and broadcast. While QuikPunch is suited to stage use and wall washing, and QuikSpot offers a strong output-to-size ratio for versatile event lighting, QuikBeam is designed to deliver an elegant yet powerful presence as a discreet uplight, while also supporting pixel mapping effects, broadcast fresnel applications and theatrical PC-style use. Developed following extensive feedback from lighting designers, technicians, installers, rental houses and venues, QuikBeam is clearly targeted at professionals who demand speed, flexibility and reliability without compromising performance. Available as part of a comprehensive 4-unit kit including four fixtures, a NetBox, a ChargingDock and all rigging and beam-shaping accessories in a single Pele-style case, as well as a highly portable 2-unit Backpack kit, QuikBeam reinforces Astera’s focus on delivering fully integrated, mobile lighting solutions. Control remains fully embedded within the Astera ecosystem, with wireless DMX / CRMX, Astera App control via inbuilt BTB, NetBox operation, and compatibility with FX Remote and White Remote IR controllers.
