L-Acoustics A Series Redefines Bangkok’s Speakerbox Install Knowledge Hub Latest News by Elton - January 12, 2026January 12, 2026 THAILAND: In the tightly packed, fiercely creative heart of Thonglor, where Bangkok’s independent music culture has thrived for over a decade, Speakerbox has quietly executed a decisive technical upgrade that reflects the growing sophistication of the city’s alternative live scene. The venue has installed an L-Acoustics A Series professional sound system, bringing tour-level performance into a compact club environment that hosts everything from rock and punk to soul, jazz, blues and experimental electronic music. For a space known for platforming emerging artists with devoted local followings, the objective was never about sheer volume. The venue’s consultant approached L-Acoustics Certified Distributor in Thailand, Vision One, with a clear mandate: deliver concert-grade audio in a form that is reliable, easy to operate and entirely rider-friendly for visiting engineers. With nightly programming and rapid changeovers, the system had to be flexible, consistent across genres and able to achieve optimal coverage without compromising sightlines or the venue’s existing lighting design. Vision One began the process using L-Acoustics Soundvision 3D modelling software, allowing the team to predict acoustic behaviour in the room and visualise SPL coverage across the audience area before any hardware was deployed. This early modelling shaped a solution that balanced performance with the physical constraints of the space. “The A10 system provides an excellent balance of power, clarity, and compact form factor—ideal for Speakerbox’s size and performance needs,” explains Akarat ‘Pete’ Thitipattakul, Business Development Manager at Vision One. “Its scalable design allows for future expansion, while the A Series is intuitive to operate—crucial for a venue with a small technical team and rotating visiting engineers. The flexibility and consistent medium-throw coverage made it the perfect fit for the client’s requirements.” Drawing on its in-house inventory of L-Acoustics components and an experienced installation team, Vision One was able to recommend, design and install an A10 Wide-based system rapidly, working around the venue’s nightly shows with minimal disruption. The final configuration features a left-right system of one A10 Wide per side, flown into the low ceiling using A10-BUMP flying frames, with low-frequency reinforcement from two KS21 subwoofers placed on the ground. The entire system is driven by a single LA4X amplified controller, delivering a compact yet powerful solution tailored to the room. Beyond the physical deployment, Vision One provided on-site training focused on daily operation and system management, along with LA Network Manager configuration settings that were carefully calibrated and fine-tuned for the venue. In practice, the system functions as a straightforward plug-and-play solution, integrating seamlessly with existing equipment and ensuring easy usability for visiting engineers working across diverse shows. Crucially, the modular nature of the A Series and the flexibility of the LA4X amplifier platform allow the system to be expanded or adapted as performance demands evolve, supporting Speakerbox’s ambition to remain at the cutting edge of Bangkok’s independent live music ecosystem. Early response from engineers and artists has underlined the impact of the upgrade, with praise for the system’s clarity, power and consistent coverage throughout the room. “We successfully ticked all the boxes the venue required, ensuring the client’s satisfaction and instilling a sense of confidence with the technical operations of the brand-new system,” says Thitipattakul. “This in turn has led to the elevation of the venue’s profile among booking agents and touring artists, reinforcing Speakerbox’s iconic, decade-old brand name that’s synonymous with Bangkok’s independent and alternative live music scene.” Share on Facebook Share Share on TwitterTweet Share on Pinterest Share Share on LinkedIn Share Share on Digg Share
