MSS World Ups the Ante with First L-Acoustics K2 Investment

INDIA: MSS World, recognised through its trusted names Modern Stage Services Pvt. Ltd. and Modern Stage Service (Projects), has taken a decisive step in strengthening its rental capabilities with its first investment in an L-Acoustics K2 line array system, signalling a clear alignment with international touring standards as India’s live events landscape continues its rapid evolution. The acquisition was facilitated by Hi-Tech Audio & Image, the official Indian distributor of L-Acoustics, which designed and supplied the system for the rental company.

According to Davinder Wadhwa, Director, MSS World, the move reflects a broader shift in expectations across the country’s events landscape. As productions spanning concerts, weddings, broadcast shows and large-scale cultural celebrations increasingly demand clarity, power and repeatability on par with what audiences experience at iconic global venues, the K2 system emerged as a platform the company could trust. The investment is seen not simply as a technical upgrade, but as a responsibility—one that strengthens how MSS approaches system design, project planning and delivery, while committing to elevating every audience experience through uncompromising sound quality.

With touring activity intensifying and production complexity rising, MSS identified a clear need for scalable, rider-approved and prediction-accurate systems capable of meeting both creative ambition and technical rigour. Pratik Wadhwa, CEO, MSS World explains that ownership of K2 places the company at the convergence of global touring standards and India’s creative surge, enabling its engineering team to confidently take on projects that demand finesse, power and precision. For clients, the presence of K2 in the MSS inventory represents more than sound reinforcement—it signals the assurance and confidence of working with a world-class rental operation.

The newly acquired K2 system made its public debut at the 10th edition of the Jashn-e-Rekhta celebration, held from 5–7 December at Baansera Park in New Delhi. Dedicated to the celebration of Urdu language and culture, the event brought together local voices alongside acclaimed poets, thinkers and performers. Deployed across the festival grounds, the K2 system delivered high intelligibility for spoken word and nazms, while also providing the power and musicality required for evening concerts attended by thousands.

From the distributor’s perspective, the investment reflects a broader transition underway within the Indian professional audio industry. Rajan Gupta, CEO and Founder of Hi-Tech Audio & Image shares that the addition of K2—long regarded as a system that has shaped global touring for decades—into the MSS inventory is viewed as a marker of India’s growing commitment to delivering experiences defined by international precision, scale and aesthetic excellence. Hi-Tech Audio & Image continues to position itself as a long-term partner in this journey, supporting the market’s growth through deep collaboration, technical expertise and sustained vision.

The project was led by Hi-Tech Audio & Image Managing Director Nirdosh Aggarwal, who oversaw the conceptualisation, design, architecture, logistics planning and execution of the MSS K2 deployment. From his perspective, the next phase of India’s live events growth will be driven by predictability, scalability and disciplined engineering practices. Empowering rental partners, therefore, extends beyond supplying premium technology to include systems integration, training and operational readiness—an approach reflected in MSS’s K2 acquisition and its commitment to consistent, world-class execution.
