Elite Event Technology Expands AV Stumpfl Inventory Knowledge Hub Latest Live News by Elton - October 13, 2026October 12, 2026 AUSTRALIA: Canberra-based production company Elite Event Technology has purchased four AV Stumpfl Monoblox 64 Kit (20′ × 11’3″) fast-fold projection screen systems, extending an inventory built up over years of working with the Austrian manufacturer. Show Technology Australia & New Zealand, AV Stumpfl’s official regional partner, supports the company with product supply and access to spare parts. Designed for large presentations, events and staging, the Monoblox 64 is a portable projection screen system featuring a lightweight, durable frame that assembles without tools. Its design incorporates no loose parts, while intuitive assembly and compact transport dimensions support efficient handling and deployment for rental and staging applications. For Darren Russell, Owner and Managing Director of Elite Event Technology, the decision to continue investing in AV Stumpfl reflects the equipment’s performance over years of use. The company owns screens from several manufacturers, but Russell said AV Stumpfl products had proved more durable than competing fast-fold systems in its inventory. “Only the AV Stumpfl screens have stood the test of time, whereas the other ones have required quite a bit of maintenance,” he said. “So, we drew the line in the sand a little while ago where we decided any new projection screens we buy, we’ll just buy nothing but AVStumpfl as you can’t beat the quality.” Elite Event Technology supplies projection screens in a range of sizes, from eight feet to 30 feet. Russell also highlighted the support provided by Show Technology, particularly its stock of replacement components and continued availability of parts for legacy products. “The other thing that we’ve also liked about AV Stumpfl is the service offered by Show Technology and the fact that they stock and sell a wide range of parts,” said Russell. “If something does break or someone breaks or damages something, you can get all the bits of the frames etc. as spare parts. And Show Technology have always been good at even keeping parts for legacy products, although a lot of their designs have not really changed much over the years.” For a production company managing equipment through repeated deployments, repairability has a direct bearing on long-term value. Russell noted that projection screens represent a significant investment, making the ability to replace damaged components preferable to discarding an entire system. Although Elite Event Technology now delivers plenty of LED screens for events, Russell said projection continues to have a firm place in the corporate market, particularly for presentations and galas where a projector and large screen can remain more cost-effective than an equivalent LED display. “Presentations, galas and such prefer projection because obviously a big screen and a projector is still way more cost-effective than an equivalent LED screen,” he commented. “At one point, as LED screens got cheaper, I thought the tide would turn, and it turned a little bit, but projection is still alive and well. We’re still buying projectors. We’re still buying projection screens. The technology’s changing a bit, and now everyone wants 4K projectors, but, once again, the technology’s better and cheaper.” Share on Facebook Share Share on TwitterTweet Share on Pinterest Share Share on LinkedIn Share Share on Digg Share
