SINGAPORE: Singapore’s National Day Parade returned to the National Stadium on August 9, 2026, for the first time in a decade, with Hexogon Solution deploying 52 units of Christie Griffyn 4K50-RGB pure laser projectors to deliver large-scale projection mapping as part of the nation’s 61st anniversary celebrations.

A member of Hexogon Group, Hexogon Solution served as a principal partner for NDP 2026 and was responsible for all digital projection elements at the event, which drew more than 42,000 spectators. Among the production’s most ambitious visual sequences was an aerial projection mapping display built around a suspended main cuboid structure and five dynamic cubes.

Projectors positioned around the stadium illuminated the moving structures, with a real-time tracking solution keeping the projected imagery precisely aligned throughout the performance. The installation effectively transformed the suspended structures into moving canvases for visual storytelling centred on Singapore’s cultural diversity and achievements.

The deployment follows Hexogon Solution’s acquisition of a large fleet of Griffyn 4K50-RGB projectors, following what Christie describes as the world’s largest single acquisition of the model in 2025.

The Griffyn 4K50-RGB is designed for large-venue applications, projection mapping projects and live events, combining 50,000 ISO lumens of brightness with native 4K resolution. Its RGB pure laser illumination is specified to provide accurate colour reproduction, stable performance, long operational life and energy efficiency of up to 17.9 lumens per watt.

For complex mapping applications like this one, the projector supports omnidirectional operation, allowing it to be installed at virtually any angle. Christie LiteLOC technology automatically maintains colour balance and brightness over time, compensating for fluctuations in ambient temperature to help maintain consistent image quality during extended live events. At the National Stadium, those capabilities were put to work on a moving aerial canvas, adding another layer of scale and spectacle to Singapore’s 2026 National Day celebrations.
