VIETNAM: Vietnamese exhibition major Galaxy Cinema has selected Christie’s CineLife+ RBe enhanced laser projection technology to power its newest flagship multiplex, Galaxy CineX Hanoi Centre, further strengthening a long-standing technology partnership between the two companies.

Located in the heart of Vietnam’s capital, the eight-screen complex has been equipped with Christie RBe projectors across six auditoriums, delivering high-impact visuals designed to elevate the cinematic experience for audiences. The installations span three VIP halls — Aqualis, Romantico and Lagom — alongside two standard halls, Haatopia 1 and Haatopia 2, and a dedicated children’s theatre, Cine De Kids.

For the project, Galaxy Cinema selected the Christie CP2409-RBe and CP2411-RBe models, citing their image quality, operational efficiency and long-term stability. Delivering 9,000 and 11,000 lumens respectively, the projectors feature a compact and quiet design that supports ceiling-mounted installations, enabling efficient use of space while maintaining the venue’s visual aesthetics.

The deployment builds on Galaxy Cinema’s ongoing relationship with Christie, following earlier installations of RBe projectors across several of the exhibitor’s other locations in Vietnam. Encouraged by the results at Galaxy CineX Hanoi Centre, the company plans to introduce additional Christie laser projection systems as part of its broader technology upgrade programme.

Powered by Christie’s CineLife+2K electronics platform, the RBe Series combines advanced projection performance with streamlined operation, featuring auto-configuration, motorized lens control and electronic color convergence (ECC) for precise image alignment. The systems also incorporate Phazer illumination technology, delivering more than double the energy efficiency of comparable Xenon illuminated projectors. The CP2409-RBe achieves 9.4 lumens per watt, while the CP2411-RBe delivers 8.9 lumens per watt, helping cinemas reduce operating costs while maintaining consistent visual performance.
