GEORGIA: In the heart of Tbilisi, a refurbished industrial space is taking on a new life as Riser, a hybrid venue that shifts from daytime bar and restaurant to late-night destination for pre-club electronic music. Spread across two indoor levels and a terrace, the venue was founded by DJs and music producers with a clear priority: put artists, audiences and sound at the centre of the experience.

That philosophy made Void Acoustics a natural fit for the project. Having experienced Void systems both at home and across venues in Tbilisi, the Riser team already had a clear idea of the sound they wanted. Working alongside AVB LTD, they selected a Void Acoustics system designed to deliver powerful performance without compromising everyday listening comfort.

Sound has been integral to Riser since its earliest concept. What began as an idea for a compact space where friends could gather, share music and experiment with different sounds eventually evolved into a full bar and pre-club venue, while retaining its original music-first ethos.

Despite the venue’s compact footprint, the system delivers balanced sound across both levels, allowing guests to experience the music without it becoming overwhelming, while giving DJs the clarity, detail and consistency required for performance.

The venue’s high ceilings and mezzanine presented their own acoustic challenges, but careful system design and acoustic treatment help maintain controlled, even sound throughout the space. The result is a system that supports both the energy of electronic music and the more relaxed daytime atmosphere.

The installation also makes a visual statement. Void Acoustics Airten V3 and Air Vantage loudspeakers complement Riser’s industrial interior, with their distinctive forms and signature red finish making them a prominent part of the venue’s visual identity. Frequently featured across Riser’s social media channels, the loudspeakers have become recognisable elements of the space, reinforcing the connection between sound, design and culture that defines the venue.

The complete system integrated within Riser’s expansive space comprises Void Acoustics Air Vantage, Arcline 218, Airten V3, Stasys 118 and Cyclone 8 loudspeakers. And together, the system supports Riser’s ambition to create an intimate electronic music environment that works equally well for artists and audiences.

Today, Riser has established itself as one of Tbilisi’s emerging destinations for electronic music, combining a carefully curated programme and intimate atmosphere with a Void Acoustics sound system designed to serve both artists and guests.
