Elation has officially launched the Rebel Dartz, a compact beam FX moving head designed to deliver high-intensity aerial effects, aggressive motion capabilities, and expanded creative flexibility within a rugged IP65-rated platform aimed at modern touring and event environments. Positioned as the next evolution of the company’s popular Dartz 360 fixture, the new Rebel Dartz significantly increases output performance while introducing enhanced optics, expanded effects capabilities, and full all-weather protection for demanding production applications.

Now shipping globally through Elation’s international dealer and distributor network, the Rebel Dartz has been developed specifically for concerts, festivals, EDM productions, DJ events, corporate productions, and other high-energy entertainment environments where visual intensity and dynamic beam effects remain central to the show experience.

At the core of the fixture is a 150W RBL LED engine capable of producing saturated colours and delivering an ultra-narrow 1.5-degree beam designed to cut sharply through atmospheric environments. According to Elation, the fixture generates an output intensity of 125,475 lux at five metres, allowing it to produce highly concentrated aerial effects and tightly defined beam visuals across both indoor and outdoor environments.

Further expanding its colour capabilities, the Rebel Dartz incorporates a dedicated True Green filter designed to enhance green tonal reproduction, alongside adjustable colour temperature control ranging from 3200K to 16,000K. This enables designers to better align fixture output with LED wall environments, optimise white balance, and maintain cleaner aerial visuals across mixed-production setups. A virtual gel library additionally extends the fixture’s colour palette for more nuanced programming flexibility.

The fixture’s effects package has been designed to maximise versatility despite its compact footprint. The Rebel Dartz integrates dual gobo wheels comprising 10 interchangeable rotating/indexing gobos and 16 static stamped gobos, alongside stackable six-facet linear and eight-facet circular prisms for layered beam effects. Additional creative tools include heavy frost for beam shaping and wash expansion, smooth 16-bit dimming curves, and variable strobe functionality for enhanced visual dynamics.

Complementing the effects system is high-speed continuous 360-degree pan and tilt movement, enabling rapid motion effects and aggressive beam choreography tailored for high-energy live environments.

Engineered for long-term touring durability, the Rebel Dartz features full IP65 environmental protection against dust, dirt, and moisture ingress, allowing it to operate reliably across challenging indoor and outdoor production conditions. Elation has additionally focused on portability and deployment efficiency, with the compact fixture designed for simplified rigging, transportation, and maintenance workflows.

Connectivity support includes DMX, Art-Net, sACN, and RDM protocols, alongside NFC configuration capabilities and Aria X2 wireless DMX integration for streamlined setup and wireless operation within larger control ecosystems.
