Harrison Audio has announced the launch of LiveTrax 3, the latest evolution of its acclaimed live performance recording and virtual soundcheck software, introducing expanded platform compatibility and a refined workflow designed for modern touring and live production environments.

The headline development in LiveTrax 3 is full integration with DiGiCo consoles, joining existing support for Allen & Heath and Solid State Logic SSL Live systems. This expanded compatibility enables faster, more intuitive live capture and virtual soundcheck workflows, significantly reducing setup time while improving operational efficiency.

At the core of the update is a newly introduced Session Creation feature, allowing engineers to build LiveTrax sessions directly from the console in seconds. Track naming and order are automatically aligned between the console and software, eliminating manual configuration and ensuring a streamlined start to any production.

LiveTrax 3 remains focused on delivering essential tools tailored specifically for live environments. Core features such as Transport Sync, 1:1 Input Routing, per-track input monitoring, and a built-in spectral analyser on every channel ensure reliable multitrack recording and precise system insight across tours, festivals, and event spaces.

Austin Freshwater, Managing Director at DiGiCo, emphasised the value of the integration, noting that it enhances speed, control, and overall return on investment by simplifying complex workflows and enabling consistent, high-quality capture across productions.

Further enhancements include real-time spectral analysis and phase correlation metering across all tracks, providing engineers with immediate visibility into frequency response and phase relationships. A dedicated monitor button on every track further streamlines input monitoring, improving usability in high-pressure live scenarios.

LiveTrax 3 also introduces expanded marker functionality and advanced master output controls, alongside a resizable Big Clock display and a dedicated Meterbridge window for clear visual confirmation of recording status. System monitoring tools such as CPU usage, disk I/O, and remaining recording time provide additional operational confidence.

To optimise storage efficiency, the software supports direct recording in FLAC format, reducing file sizes by up to 50% compared to traditional WAV recording. A System Lock feature safeguards against accidental interruptions during recording, ensuring stability in critical moments.

For livestreaming applications, LiveTrax 3 now includes a dedicated stereo output, further extending its versatility in hybrid and broadcast workflows.

Additional enhancements include automatic transfer of console channel names to tracks, snapshot-triggered markers during recording, marker-linked playback during virtual soundchecks, macro control of transport functions, and a comprehensive suite of keyboard shortcuts—collectively reinforcing LiveTrax 3 as a powerful, streamlined solution for today’s fast-paced live production landscape.
