This time around MAJ expanded on last year’s booth size, and presented WPC at the SR Line Array Speaker Demo, giving visitors first hand experience. MAJ also welcomed from the UK Dom Harter, MD of Martin Audio, introducing him to the Japanese market at the same time.
With a new collection that in addition to WPC and iKON amplifiers, also included WPM, along with XE500, XE300 and two of the LE wedge monitors, their booth was packed with visitors throughout the entire three days. Among these new products, the XE500 has already debuted at Rock In Japan festival this summer, and built up a superb reputation, with many people stopping to ask about its high performance, and how it functions with the CDD special drivers.
The WPC demo took place in the Event Hall, and comprised eight WPC cabinets on each side, with three cardioid settings in the SX218 subwoofers. Operated by Bunshiro Hote from MSI Japan and Shue Kanda from MAJ, the audience was enraptured by the performance. The venue itself was set out arena style, with the audio environment changeable thanks to the different optimisations in Display 2.3 and VU-NET software. Dom Harter and Martin Audio APAC Account Manager, Andy Duffield, also expressed their delight at the presentation, which was deemed 100% successful.
