In a recent conversation with an industry personnel, we touched on NAMM and his take in relation to the exhibition was interesting. According to him he feels that NAMM is losing touch from a Pro Audio perspective. The regular Pro Audio Hall had less of the big brand names. He also highlighted a rise in participation from Asia manufacturers. Though this provides the Asia manufacturers a great opportunity to occupy a prominent position, it needs to be asked if it achieves their objectives. NAMM as a MI show has never been in doubt but is it losing its lustre for the pro audio segment. It is just a personal opinion from that particular individual.
