An internationally recognised and established event in the professional sound, light, music, audio visual and system integration industries, PALME has been going strong in the regional market since its inception in 2003.
The event has changed shape over the years; growing out of previous events Event 360 and Festivale. The PALME event is now a stand-alone professional event built with the industry in mind.
The global economic crises seriously affected the construction boom in the UAE with knock-on effects for the installation sector in both residential and commercial properties. This is looking more optimistic now with a renewal of postponed projects coming back on line. The region is positive on the event side as well with the Qatar World Cup and a renewed event calendar in the UAE (Volvo Ocean Race, Jazz Festival, concerts with major global artists such as Madonna etc) beating the odds.
The professional sound, light, audio visual and systems integration industries go hand in hand with the growth in tourism, hospitality and infrastructure developments. With capital intensive tourism and the hospitality industry delivering more than 20% of Dubai’s GDP alone and tourist numbers expected to reach 15 million by 2015, these sectors are expected to be resilient in the coming years.
This offers enormous potential for suppliers of professional sound, light, music, audio-visual and systems integration technologies and solutions for the professional entertainment, events, hospitality, building and construction as well as project installation industries in new build and refurbishment.
PALME will give both exhibitors and visitors the same opportunity but will also allow these international key players for this industry the chance to interact with the local distributors for a fast reviving market in the midst of economic turmoil elsewhere.
WHO WILL YOU SEE ON-SITE
PALME attracts a mix of key international manufacturers, regional distributors and production/rental companies providing professional sound, lighting, audio visual and systems integration equipment and solutions. These exhibiting companies are looking to meet current clients, source new distributors, consider opening local offices and gain access to a developing market in the Middle East.
