The system comprised nine KUDO line
source cabinets and four SB28 subwoofers per side, a centre cluster of six KIVA
ultra compact line source cabinets, and
outfills of three KIVAs per side. The
whole system was driven by nine LA8 amplified controllers housed in LA-RAK
touring racks.
François Chaumeil, L-ACOUSTICS’ technical support for France,
explains : “The total audience area was 60 m wide by 100 m deep, with the
nine KUDO covering an area from 15m back to 100m. Using KUDO’s K-LOUVER system,
the top three cabinets were open at an angle of 50°, and the other six at 110°.
The 60 Hz preset was used for KUDO while the SB28s handled the lower end
between 25 and 60 Hz. The central cluster
of KIVA covered the pit from 4 m back to 20 m, while the outfill KIVAs were
opening the main side areas of the audience.
